22, 26 and 35 for Corinne!
22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?
I'm going to be so real with you. Blue Eyed Girl takes place in 1988 Cornville, USA. (A bad choice on my part? Maybe.) Doing research on colloquialisms of midwestern minority communities is the bane of my existence. I'm not going to go on about it here, because it's not that deep. hahah.
I've definitely curbed a bit Corinne's attitude because of it, though.
She's spent so much of her life having to be "respectful" that straight up insults don't come very readily. Now, sarcasm? A different story.
"Yikes, looks like you really didn't think that through."
26. How do they act when they’re happy? Do they sing? Dance? Hum? Or do they hide their emotions?
She's the person that turns her sentences into song when happy. Also, the friend that shakes your arm when excited about something.
Corinne’s not good with hiding her emotions, which of course has its merits and downfalls.
35. What’s their guilty pleasure? What is their totally unguilty pleasure?
This is a great question!!
Her guilty pleasure is listening to Bruce Springsteen. She prefers his version of “Pink Cadillac” over Natalie Cole’s.
Her unguilty pleasure is listening to her friend AJ read aloud anything. Since they were younger they’ve gone to the library together and picked out novels for AJ to read. But like even if it’s some random magazine ad, Corinne will ask AJ to read it.
