While the night was here yes, however. It was filled with the sounds of bullets being fired, flames illuminating the night sky, and screaming was heard. Some screams were orders being barked, others were in pain.

This was none other than a White Fang base being attacked by a lone vigilante bringing justice, however for someone who is eighteen he truly does have some skill. As one of them started to back up worriedly trying to escape the man approaching him. 

“Why are you doing this! We did nothing to you!!!” He said worriedly.

“Maybe you should be asking the dead and the injured at Beacon Academy who lost their lives fighting you people!!!!” He said pointing Inferno in it’s shotgun form at them. 

“And guess what, I’m doing them all a damn favor..making sure that they are avenged for their deaths and their injuries.”

Everything always felt hopeless. And since the return to Atlas, Weiss had nothing but fear in her heart for what was to come. A disgraced Schnee, returning to the land she desperately did anything to get herself out of?

Weiss paused, hearing Ruby. She was always a little beacon of hope, a shining reminder that it was okay. That they’d be okay.

“You’re right. I still feel alive too, Ruby. Just don’t do anything like what you did in Argus again, you dolt.”

It had been kind of a sappy movie, but well. Jaune was alright being a sap. He’d liked it. The credits were still rolling before he’d come back to his senses.

He and Ruby had started out on the opposite ends of the couch when the movie had started, but evidently somewhere in the interim they’d met in the middle of the loveseat. Ruby was leaned up against him, and he had one arm wrapped around her. The other was slowly stroking her dark hair.

 The blond blushed profusely. It was... nice, more so than he would admit, holding her like this. But he also wasn’t exactly used to such intimate contact, and was also evidently annoying her. “I-I... Sorry! I didn’t meant to, I just... My arms moved on their own?” He finished lamely. 

He realized he hadn’t actually stopped petting her. He halted the gesture of affection, and began trying to extract himself from his hold on Ruby. He would have probably had better luck withdrawing his arms from around her if he wasn’t panicking and trying to avoid touching her. As it turned out, it was difficult to move your arm if someone’s back was pressing it into a couch cushion without jostling them.

Finally, after weeks of Grimm slaying and repairs to Vale City and Beacon, the Academy was ready to re-open, in the next few days, students would be coming back to with some transferring to and from Beacon.

In Vale City, Skar had stopped off with Marie to get some lunch at the Awdry’s Diner, he was going to be meeting Amber soon and she had something to him about what she’s going to be doing, now that she’s well and living again.

For now, he sat with his daughter waiting for their food, in a way, he was worried what it could be that Amber was doing now.

 "Hey, 'scuse me?" A quite tall man tapped Ruby's shoulder and tried to get her attention. "There's a nest of Ursi about three miles from here, right?"
