Champagne, parties and drugs, the world of entertainment has always been dictated itself by those three. There were two ways to make it to the top, hard work or luck. For Lance it never was the later, finding himself struggling and fighting to become the actor that he was now. After being rejected uncountable of times and having to reject indecorous proposals to make him jump into his goal; Lance found himself finally where he wanted to be. Praised and admired by directors and other actors who were excited to work with him.
It was all about charm he learned at the very beginning and for him that was something that oozed naturally as he laughed and smiled at everyone who talked to him, flirting a little bit. Lance enjoyed the attention, it was what he had aimed for, but there was certain level of emptiness in the praises he received, the hard world of cinema still demanding thing he was not going to do.
That was the game in the party, who takes and who loses, smiles hiding desires. It was not something he enjoyed (even though his flirty banter did not let that slip), he was getting used to forget about his own feelings now.
“Looks who is walking towards here” His agent suddenly muttered into his ear furtively as he was still laughing at someone’s joke. Taking a sip of his drink his eyes drifted towards the figure that approached, champagne on hand. Lance couldn’t help his brows to knit together slightly.
The wonder boy, the child actor that had make it to the top with incredible ease. How he hated his guts. Everything had been easy for him, served in a silver plate ready for him just to take it. He didn’t know what he had to go through.
“I want you to be extra charming with him tonight” His agent said, giving him a look that did not take no for an answer, already knowing that Lance was not going to be keen of that idea. “I’m trying to get you into a project with him, we need him to like you”
“What?!” Lance exclaimed, the laughter and music of the party hushing down his voice.
There was a silent conversation between them for a couple of moments before Lance finally growled under his breath, eyes turning to violet irises and smiling.
“Hey, Keith, right?” The other people in the circle smiled at the new coming, pleased and excited to have another star to which to talk with. Lance just wanted to go home. “Hey, nice to meet you at last! I was wondering when I’ll be able to meet you” he winked at him.
