I quiet honestly don't have any negative stuff to say about today's episode. I know people are still complaining about Jaune and Cardin's predictable storyline and the lack of Blake/Yang

BUT CAN WE TAKE A MINUTE TO APPRECIATE RUBY HERE

Think about it: Ruby is only a fifteen year old girl (same age as myself) and she was so wise beyond her years in this episode. Whenever Jaune was beating himself up, she was just NOPE. UH UHH. NOT GONNA DEAL WITH THIS SELF-HATING SHIT TODAY. NOPE.

I really admire that in Ruby's character. I wish I had a friend who would be just like her, immediately dismissing any self-hate she sees from a mile away and letting people know how special they are and all the things and people they're responsible for. She really understands what it means to be a leader (partially thanks to Ozpin's advice, partially just her being a total awesome badass) and that's pretty impressive for someone so inexperienced as her.

So yeah, maybe this episode didn't have any Blake/Yang and focused on the Jaune/Cardin plot (because, you know, that's the plot point right now. Shows like this one have those). But I think we all can agree that Ruby was the real star of this episode. I mean, look at this baby!

Ruby and Belle Separation Anxiety:

It seems like the only character we see more rarely than Belle these days is Ruby. And, when we are lucky enough to see her it seems like she's doing things out of character such as not defending Belle during the sedatation incident.  I am really starting to miss her and hope they don't drop her from being a main character since she apparently has a new show.
