So an idea that’s been in my head for a bit is to turn some of the Ovenbreak pets into Cookies, and today I started to do that with Ruby Pomegranate, since I’ve been wanting to do them for a while now

So now this is Ruby Pomegranate Cookie. I might change the names for other pets, since they may not translate well to Cookie names, but for Ruby it works, so I kept it

Nobody really knows where Ruby Pomegranate came from, aka how she began to follow Pomegranate (other than Pomegranate herself), but she was made from the fruits of the Sacred Pomegranate Tree itself. Because of this, she has incredible power, including the ability to see with her eyes closed (as I mentioned in the description). She’s very young and follows Pomegranate most everywhere she goes, being Pome’s apprentice. However, despite this, she’s strangely a very positive person, always trying to show the light side of things and wanting the others to be happy. Because of this dichotomy, no one’s really sure what to think of her, or why she acts the way she does. And even if you try to ask her to join the good guys, she will adamantly refuse, despite her demeanor not really fitting in with the rest of the Cookies of Darkness, though her reasoning is known only to her. Also she seems very sleepy, spacing out and talking in a rather quiet manner and never raising her voice. No one can ever tell when she’s awake or when she’s sleeping

Oh yeah also another thing, but she tends to be nice to Dark Choco. No one knows particularly why, but they just assume it’s because Pomegranate tends to really not like him. She’s nice to everyone, but she’s particularly with Dark Choco

I feel like I made her too tall, I was trying to make her short, since she’s supposed to be young, either the same age or even younger than Chess Choco, but also I feel like I didn’t capture that? I dunno, I feel like she looks more like Gingerbrave’s age. But I tried to show her skirt dragging on the ground to imply that she’s too small for it

The Wiki told me the Pomegranate Villagers (including Pome herself) seem to take inspiration from miko, who work at Shinto shrines, so I looked up what they look like and based her outfit on what I saw. I tried to keep her design simple since she’s only an apprentice, on the lowest end of the hierarchy

Also, not sure if she was originally a Pet that then became a Cookie, or if this is just an au where she was always a Cookie. Take your pick

But yeah, I just wanted to share this. Now I should probably stop drawing and study for my exams

As there is a serious lack of pet representation in the Cookie run fandom, I shall start...

The Cookie/Pet Relationship headcanons !

Some object-like pets actually used to be ordinary objects. But the moment their cookies came into their possession, they took life. A few I can think of as examples are Uncooling Teacup, Rocket Firecracker or Pocket Strawberry. A cookie/pet relationship starting this way are said to be the purest form of friendship.

While pets are usually refered to as “it”, their owners won’t do that. They’ll either use “he”, “she” or eventually “they”. It depens on whether said pet can talk, and/or the cookie’s preferences. The pets that are able to talk will choose the pronoun they want to be refered to as.

Rocket Fireckacker may not look like a dog, but it so obviously is one at heart ! It behaves the exact same way, and Cherry wouldn’t have it any other way ! Just imagine her giving it the good ol’ belly rubs as she says “Who’s a good boy ? =D”

Magmabird is a sass master. It may not be able to talk, but if it wants to mock you, you’ll have no doubt what it’s trying to imply. It is also pretty stubborn, so if it’s sulky for some reason, you’ll have trouble getting their attention back. Though, it is somehow less stuborn to Fire Spirit. But it doesn’t mean it isn’t at all with him !

Ruby Pomegranate could very well have left Pomegranate cookie, but it didin’t. Why ? Because it believes she can still redeem herself.

If we follow the logic that Strategist Jujube is General Jujube but younger, It must be the same for Steaming Teacup And Uncooling Teacup. “Steaming” was actually a nickname Jujube gave him back then, because Uncooling made “more steam than a hot spring” as he would put it himself. And Uncooling doesn’t like to be reminded of it...

Every one know that Dark Spirit Helmet is the ghost of a cookie that now haunts the helmet he wore when he died. What people don’t know however is that he used to be one of the Strawberry Jam Sword’s wielder. When he first saw Dark choco in the Dark World, he tried to make them go away, fearing they’d either find the sword or die trying. To no avail as he couldn’t talk, he had forgotten how to. But when he met them again, after they’d found it... somehow, he could talk again. Maybe as a former wielder himself, he now was linked to the new wielder... He taught Dark all he knew about the sword.

I think I’ll stop there for now. If you have headcanons yourself, you can share them with me ! Or you can ask if I have headcanons for a specific cookie/pet relationship too ! ^^
