The Ruby-Tailed Wasp! (Also called the Cuckoo Wasp, and the Emerald Wasp). This fashionable predator can be found all over the UK, and is famous for its iridescent glow. However, these things are not great parents. They have a greatly reduced stinging ability, and will lay their eggs in the nests of solitary bees and wasps. When their larvae hatch, they will either starve or outright kill the other larvae in the nest, usurping the shelter as their own.
