Hello everyone! I would like to share with you a short New Year video performed by the Ruby Throated band with Hayley Brownell as a drummer. I already shared with you one video with Hayley. She is a great drummer. She studied music at California State University. She played with many musicians. But I especially like this band. Soon I will share another video of Hayley on the Ruby Throated 's song.
This gentleman has been hanging out in the yard for a couple weeks. SW GA
Pink Hummer, Pink Flower by Patti Deters Via Flickr: "Pink Hummer, Pink Flower" by Patti Deters. A male Ruby-throated hummingbird (Achilochus colubris) hovers near a patch of bright pink yarrow (Achillea millefolium 'Paprika') garden flowers. The vibrant pink blossoms almost exactly match the pink color showing in the little hummer's head feathers. I love nature scenes where the colors match or complement each other, sometimes called natural mimicry, and you can see more images at the links below. Thank you for viewing this picture. This gorgeous little boy smacked into our glass door earlier (he was territory fighting with another little dude, but the other one flew off once I got outside to check out the damage) and knocked himself silly, so I hung out with him until he felt better and was able to flutter off safely. I've got a new little animal friend, it seems. Hope I'll see him again soon, though I won't be able to tell him from the rest of the flock
