Back at it again, waiting to fly the big skies
Little bird waiting to fly the big skies
As the news breaks that my flight will be delayed a further hour, the bar is slowly picking up business as, despite it only being 12:30, people realize that we're not going anywhere any time soon. "what is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more" sighs over the gates and boredom has left the very air seeming sullen. My flight to LA via Sydney was supposed to leave Melbourne at 11:20. Right now they predict we'll depart at about 2:30, but to expect to be grounded at Sydney indefinitely. It is safe to say I will miss my connection to Chicago and I don't seem to be the only one who's realized that they won't be making their transfer flights. And so, the bar gets busier. It's not even one and while I've started drinking earlier once or twice before, it's not often that I have so much company. This will be posted late: the Melbourne airport wireless service and I had a lengthy discussion which ended with it taking its survices elsewhere, seemingly ignorant of the ten dollars I had just slipped into it's pocket.
