Rudá from The Path is aromantic asexual!
Ruda, Ruta graveolens רודה, is one of the most commonly used and venerated plants among Jewish communities.
"As a woman from Bulgaria recalled, "When we were sick, my mother used to perform livianos of lead. Also she used to boil mint, a little rue, a little lemon. All mixed up. She would boil it like a tea, strain it, and give it to us to drink for stomach ache. There we didn't go too much to the doctor, as we do here. Things of the house, they did things to us at home. All the medicines were prepared for different pains. Everything helped" (8).

Teaser- upcoming Chapter 4 Twin Stars [ Surprise series ]
“Tell me about your childhood here,” he says, his voice low. He puts his pinky in the scalding water to test it, then pulls the pot off the fire. Taking a cup, Qimir makes her tea first, then takes one for himself. “This will help recalibrate you in a couple of ways.”
Osha accepts the battered, chipped crockery and bites her lips in concentration. “Mae was of course, Mother Koril’s favorite, she was good at the craft. Great at blocking, dedicated and thrilled to assume the hereditary mantle of leadership for the coven.” She blows on the cup and sips tentatively at the brew he made for them. She scowls at the taste. “Stars, what is this stuff?” She makes a gagging sound. “It’s so odd!”
“Just a few odds and ends I threw together that will keep you calm and relaxed. You’ve moved a lot of emotions today. You need this to rest and recover.” He hums innocently and throws his shields up. “Keep going, what else do you remember?” He attempts to lead her to recall every last bit and scrap of whatever she can. He wants her to finish drinking the anaphrodisiac in its entirety, so they can get a decent sleep without any further confrontations or uncomfortable discussions. He pointedly asks her questions , begs for elaborations, and comments on her anecdotes after he knocks back his cup in one fell shot. He pours himself another. Only after he’s had two cups does he allow himself to approach where she is sitting.
“Ready for sleep? I can build up the fire so it stays warm enough if you’re ready.”
She looks up at him, keeping his gaze as he squats down next to her, taking the cup. “Qimir please stay. I don’t want you to have to sleep in the cockpit.”
He lets an amused look pass over his face as his left eyebrow elevates to a dangerous level. His lips twitch.
“You’re so juvenile sometimes. Now who’s instigating things?” She huffs impatiently.
