I Wish (Rufio X Reader) Pt. 2
Request: Okay, so what I was thinking, in Hook there’s this guy Rufio and I was thinking that maybe the reader would be Peter Pan’s daughter and she somehow ends up in Neverland and the reader is like super shy and loves to paint/draw? You’ll know what I’m talking about when/if you watch the movie. Thank you!!!
A/N: Hope this was worth the months of anticipation, anon. Thanks for sticking by me and waiting for me to write this. I had a blast. Lemme know if you ever need anything else. Enjoy!
Arriving in Neverland, was amazing. You’d never seen anything like it. A whole fantasy island straight from the pages of your favourite book here for you to explore. As soon as you’d arrived, Tink had sped off, promising she’d be back with the band of Lost Boys.
The idea of meeting a large group of people made you nervous but you didn’t tell Tink that. Your shyness was something you were slightly ashamed of, especially when you saw your younger siblings approach new people with such enthusiasm and eagerness. Your mother once told you that you’d always been a quiet child. You were sure she meant well, but that only made you feel worse about yourself.
“I wonder where I am and how far the Lost Boys are from here.” You mumbled to yourself, eyes scanning the trees for any signs of life besides yourself and the occasional bird. You were about to turn around and walk back to the spot where Tink had left you to wait for her when something grabbed you by the wrist. You turned, already wiggling to get free of whatever had you.
Turns out, what had you was a person. Not just any person, a pirate. Not just any pirate, Captain Hook himself. The very last person you’d expected to see on your trip to Neverland. You felt your stomach drop as he sneered, eyes lighting up with a childlike sort of glee. You gulped, trying to pull your arm free from his grip. Unfortunately for you, Captain Hook was a full grown man and you were still basically a child. You opened your mouth to protest against whatever was going on.
“Relax, child. You’ll do nicely. The perfect bait to get those Lost Boys out of hiding wherever they are.” He cackled and you became aware of just how much danger you were in.
“What do you want with me? The Lost Boys won’t come find me. They don’t even know who I am. Why would they want to rescue me?” Your usual shyness was overpowered by your utter anger and desperation to escape from Captain Hook’s clutches. He chuckled menacingly.
“Don’t worry, dear. They’ll come looking for you. And when they do… I’ll be waiting.” He promised, shoving you along in the direction of the coastline toward where you assumed his boat was. You glanced over your shoulder. Where was Tink?
~
“How do you know we can trust this person?” Rufio asked Tink who was flying slightly ahead, leading the whole group of Lost Boys.
Tink rolled her eyes. The Lost Boys were so overprotective of themselves and those who came to Neverland unannounced.
“They came from Wendy Darling’s bedroom. The very same one Peter Pan flew into and never returned from. They have Neverland in their blood, I can feel it. Trust me on this one, Rufio.” She landed on his shoulder.
“Would I ever steer you wrong?”
Rufio considered Tink’s question. No. Tinker Bell would never steer him or any of the Lost Boys wrong, ever. She was their friend and she had been since the time of Peter Pan. That meant this person was worth trekking through the woods to meet. They reached the edge of a clearing and Tink began fluttering everywhere, searching for something. Or rather someone.
“I left them right here.” She frowned, landing on his shoulder and Rufio tensed. If Tink truly had left the mystery person here and she was not here now, that meant one of two things had happened. Either they had wandered off into the surrounding woods and got lost or… Captain Hook had gotten to them first.
He began to circle the clearing like Tink had done previously, searching for anything out of the ordinary.
“Rufio!” One of the younger Lost Boys called and Rufio turned to see what was the matter. The boy was holding up a piece of parchment with a crude message scrawled onto it. He felt his stomach drop as he walked over and snatched it from the Lost Boys hand, reading it over. Hook had Tink’s mystery person.
“What do we do now?” Someone asked, watching Rufio read the note over again. Rufio crumpled the note in his hand and tossed it onto the ground. He turned to the Lost Boys.
“Obviously we rescue them.” He raised his sword into the air and all the Lost Boys cheered.
~
You sat, tied to the bottom of the mast. You weren’t sure why Hook even bothered. The Lost Boys wouldn’t care enough to rescue you. You were certain your own father wouldn’t even care enough to rescue you. You wouldn’t even rescue yourself. You hung your head, a tear sliding down your face. What you wouldn’t give to be back home chasing Maggie and Jack at this moment, instead of tied to a stupid mast.
“Hook!” A voice shouted and your head shot up. A group of boys was approaching the ship you were on. On what you assumed was the leader’s shoulder, stood Tinker Bell. The leader, a spunky looking boy with spiky hair and a cheeky smile seemed to be the one who had spoken.
“I believe you have something… or rather someone of ours.” He gripped a sword in his hand, eyes full of mischief. If you hadn’t known any better you would have thought this was Peter Pan. But Tink had told you on the way here that Peter Pan had left many, many years ago. He’d gone off to grow up. While you mused about the mysterious leader of the Lost Boys, Hook was preparing for a fight with him.
The two glared at each other in a stand off and it was clear that Hook wasn’t going to let you go without a fight. And then, with the swing of the leader’s sword, the fight had begun. Some Lost Boys raced up the ship to untie you while the pirates were distracted with the battle happening on the docks.
Your face felt hot as you were released from the ropes. ‘Th- Thanks.” You stumbled over your words. The boys just smiled kindly and chorused: “No problem!” back to you.
You joined them running back to the docks to join the other Lost Boys who were enjoying the fight happening in front of you.
“He’s not going to hurt himself, is he?” You asked, worried for your saviour but the others just chuckled.
“Rufio is the best fighter out of all of us.” One of the boys piped up. “He’s almost as good as Peter Pan himself. Hook hasn’t beaten him yet.”
Eventually, Hook surrendered and the Lost Boys began the trek back to the woods. Rufio hung back a bit to talk to you.
“Hi. My name’s Rufio.” He smiled slightly. “I don’t believe we’ve been formally introduced.”
You shyly smiled. “I… My n- name’s (Y/n).” You told him, slightly embarrassed. You were mentally kicking yourself for how horrible you sounded.
“(Y/n), hm? That’s a really nice name… It suits you.” He smiled cheekily. Your eyes widened and your cheeks dusted slightly pink.
“Th- Thank you, Rufio.” You looked down at your feet. He shrugged and the two of you walked a few paces in silence.
“What’s that?”
Rufio’s loud voice cut through your thoughts. At first you’d thought he’d been talking to someone else but you realized he was pointing to the sketchbook in your satchel that you’d managed to grab before you’d leapt out the room with Tinker Bell. You’d totally forgot you’d even brought it.
“I- It’s a sketchpad. For drawing.” You flushed and he tilted his head.
“Drawing?”
“Yeah.. You want me to draw you something?” You asked, still staring at your feet. The more you said the more you wished you’d just shut up already. He didn’t want a stupid drawing-
“Yeah. Show me.” He grinned, stopping and you looked up wide eyed. You sat down on a nearby rock, pulled the pencil out of the sketchbook and got to work. Rufio tossed his sword around while he waited for you to finish.
~
“Are you done?” He asked, looking up. “I’m bored.”
You giggled and held the sketchbook up for him to see. It was a drawing of him when he’d been locked in combat with Captain Hook. You had decided against drawing the scurvy pirate, wanting to focus all your attention on the leader of the Lost Boys. He slowly took the book out of your hands, breathing out a small impressed sound.
“Incredible.” He ran his fingers along the page.
“Rufio, (Y/n), there you are.” Tink flew out of the trees from seemingly nowhere. “I have to get (Y/n) back home to their room before anyone there notices they’re gone.”
You could see the look of disappointed look on Rufio’s face. He had just discovered something amazing and you had to go already. You smiled slightly, taking the sketchbook back and ripping the page out.
“Here, Rufio. Why don’t you hang onto this for me?” You asked softly, watching as his face lit up. He took the page from you and grinned.
“Will you be back?” He asked, sounding hopeful. You hesitated, not really knowing if you would.
“Maybe.”
“I’m going to make you something for when you come back.” He vowed. You smiled slightly.
“I… I can’t wait to see it then, Rufio.” You kissed his cheek and he turned slightly scarlet. Then you turned, smiling at Tink to let her know you were ready to leave Neverland and return to London.
“Good bye, (Y/n)!”
“Good bye, Rufio!”
~
“Did you have a good visit with Granny Wendy?” Your father asked as the two of you walked to the cab waiting to take you to the airport. You looked over your shoulder at the house, smiling slightly.
“Yeah, dad. It was magical.” You told him and he chuckled.
“I’m sure I’ll hear all about it on the flight home, won’t I?” He asked, ruffling your hair affectionately. He hadn’t done that since you were really little.
“Thanks for being such a good sport, kiddo. I think once we get home, you’ll find things are a lot better than they were before. And hey, I cleared some of the fridge. Granny Wendy tells me you’ve been drawing quite a bit while you’ve been here. Think you have enough to cover the fridge?” He asked.
You nodded enthusiastically as the two of you hopped into the cab. You missed Granny Wendy already… But mostly you missed Neverland and Rufio. You hesitantly reached into your satchel and pulled out Peter Pan to flick through on the ride.
Your father looked down at you and smiled slightly. “Miss Neverland already, hm?”
You flicked a page and smiled softly. “You have no idea, dad.”

Anonymous: I know you like Disney as in I follow your personal blog. Can you do something with Rufio from Hook?
Pairing: Rufio x Reader
Fandom: Disney, Peter Pan, Hook
Warning: None
“A girl, Peter. Another girl!” Rufio exclaimed.
“Hey, Rufio, just drop it,” You said.
“No, he’s putting us at risk again,” Rufio stated.
“Rufio, we all wanted a mother. I brought us a mother,” Peter replied.
“Peter, we don’t need a mother. We’re doing fine without one,” Rufio sighed.
You tugged on his arm. Rufio looked back at you.
“Come on Rufio, you know you’re going to get nowhere with him,” You said.
I Wish (Rufio X Reader) Pt. 1
Request: Okay, so what I was thinking, in Hook there's this guy Rufio and I was thinking that maybe the reader would be Peter Pan's daughter and she somehow ends up in Neverland and the reader is like super shy and loves to paint/draw? You'll know what I'm talking about when/if you watch the movie. Thank you!!!
A/N: So you might’ve noticed the part one in the title and the lack of a gif. That’s because this Rufio request has inspired me enough to make this into a two parter. The first part lacks Rufio (I know but bear with me). I’m simply setting the reader’s life up and describing how she comes to Neverland. In the next part, our favourite pirate is going to introduce himself to reader and our favourite Lost Boy, Rufio is going to do some heroics. I’ll post part two tomorrow! I hope this is okay anon! Thanks for giving me this intense spark of inspiration! Enjoy part one!
Being the oldest sibling sucked. Of course at first you’d been excited. Who wouldn’t? Your parents had sold it to you so well. You’d have more people to play with, you could help out, teach them exciting new things. You used to lay awake in bed, thrilled about what your new little sibling would be like.
Now, two siblings later and you wished you could return to how things used to be. Before little Maggie and Jack had been born. Before they’d practically ruined your life by driving your parents crazy, ripping up some of your favourite art pieces. When it was just you, your mom and your dad.
“(Y/n)! Can you please pass me Jack’s bear from the toy room.” Your father poked his head out of your younger siblings shared bedroom. You looked up from the drawing you had been trying to finish for hours.
“Can I just-” You began, but seeing the look of pure annoyance and utter exhaustion on your father’s face, you sighed. Standing, you hurried to complete the task that had been assigned to you and return to your drawing before the muse you had disappeared for good.
Later that night, you lie awake, long after your parents had gone to sleep, lamp on and studying the drawings in one of your favourite picture books you still held onto from when you were much smaller. Peter Pan.
“I bet in Neverland I wouldn’t be ignored or bothered while I’m working.” You grumbled, slightly annoyed as you flicked through the brightly coloured pages, trying to picture what it’d be like to visit Neverland.
You tried to imagine yourself traipsing with Lost Boys, swimming with mermaids and valiantly sword fighting Captain Hook. You snorted slightly, shutting the book and sliding it back onto your bedside table.
You were no hero. But you could dream.
~
“It’s only for a few weeks, darling. I thought you really enjoyed visiting Granny Wendy.” Your mother looked down at you as the two of you sat on the plane to London. You let out a slight huff.
“Yeah. When we visit as a family. I hardly know her. Why can’t I just stay home with you and dad?” You asked, looking out the window at all the clouds as they passed by. Your mother shook her head.
“We can tell you’re getting frustrated by Jack and Maggie. We thought a little vacation would do you well. You’ll be back home before you know it. At least try to have some fun. It’s not often you get to visit London.” She explained, leaning back in her seat and closing her eyes.
You sighed in frustration. More like they wanted to get rid of you. Now they could give all their attention to Jack and Maggie without you distracting them. Well fine. At least Granny Wendy would pay attention to you. There would be no little toddlers to distract her, you’d finally get your chance to enjoy some much needed attention and affection.
Maybe this would be a good trip…
~
It was the last day of your London vacation. The next day, your father would be flying to London to pick you up. You knew you should feel excited or happy that you’d finally be able to see your family again, but it turns out Granny Wendy really did give you the affection you’d been craving.
She read you to sleep every night, something you’d dearly missed once your younger siblings had come around, even if you might be a little too old for it now. She had hung so many of your drawings up on the walls and fridge, you were surprised there was even still room for more. Life was perfect. You hated the thought of returning to your home and once more being pushed aside for your younger, cuter, more rambunctious siblings.
You sat at the open window in the bedroom you were staying in while you were here. The view from there was beautiful. You could almost see all of London, Big Ben standing stoic as if a centurion watching over the city.
“I wish I could stay here forever…” You mumbled, fingers dancing over your Peter Pan book. “I wish I could go to Neverland. There are no smelly little siblings or forgetful parents in Neverland.”
You stared at the landscape for a moment more, trying to memorize every part of it. You’d miss it a lot back home. You stood and walked back across the bedroom to your temporary bed.
“I’m going to miss you London.” You mumbled as you crawled underneath the covers and closed your eyes, falling into dreams…. Until you were awoken by a noise.
You sat up in bed, looking around the dark bedroom. You could’ve sworn you’d heard something but as you looked around, everything was it had been when you’d fallen asleep. Maybe it had been a sound from outside? You shrugged and began to settle yourself back in the bed, when you heard it again.
It was faint but you knew you were not imagining it.
“H- Hello?” You whispered into the dark room. The noise was growing louder, the sound of a faint tinkling, almost like a bell was ringing.
You climbed out of bed as a strange glowing ball floated in through the window. You gasped, leaping back as the glowing ball moved toward the dollhouse in the corner. You hurried forward curious as the glow died down and you kneeled to see what had really just come through the window. A tiny woman… a fairy, stood on top of the dollhouse. You blinked, rubbing your eyes to make sure you weren’t imagining this.
Nope. There really was a fairy standing in your Granny Wendy’s spare bedroom.
“Hello!” She cheerily smiled up at you. You wordlessly waved, wanting to speak but the words escaping you. She giggled.
“You wished to visit Neverland, didn’t you?” She asked. You nodded, still dazed at what was happening. She cheerily flew up into the air and sprinkled something all over you.
“Wh- What..” You trailed off.
“It’s the only way to Neverland, you’re going to need to fly.” She explained, in that same cheery tone she’d had before. You remembered your book, Wendy, John and Michael got to Neverland by flying to Neverland. Pixie dust and a happy little thought is all it took.
You closed your eyes, trying to come up with the happiest thought you could. How it felt to be curled up in your parent’s bed with them after a particularly bad nightmare. No little siblings, no distractions. Just you, your mom and your dad. You opened your eyes at an excited cry from the fairy.
“You’re a natural.” She cried and you looked down at yourself floating off the floor.
You beamed.
“Come on. Neverland awaits you, miss…?”
“(Y/n).” You grinned, beginning to fly toward the window.
“Well, (Y/n). I’m Tinker Bell.” She smiled flying up beside you. You pinched yourself, just to double check you really weren’t dreaming.
You didn’t even look back over your shoulder as the two of you began to fly across London, right in the direction of the second star to the right. Whatever awaited you in Neverland, it had to be better than what you were leaving behind by far.

Today...is the day!
Warning: my sh*tty writing
You woke up sleepy, but you were enthusiastic about today. You chose your clothes (your fav/swimsuit) covered by (your fav/"summer clothes"). It's a hot day, so is a good sign to go to the beach.
Walking nearly at the school, you notice that your friends are waiting to enter the bus.
The teacher was counting one by one, to make sure that no one is absent. However, finally, you entered the bus, even luckily, you sat with your best friend. You guys started laughing, conversing, until.
"So, (girl/bro), you're ready for today?" your best friend asked
"Yep! I'm enough with my stress, we're running the hell outta here!" You chortle
The bus started to turn on the motors and began with the journey.
~Moments later~
Eventually, you arrived. The beach was about to be empty, which is kind of strange, but there were a few people. The sun is very hot, and the sand on the beach is scalding.
Your class was getting to start cleaning the same as you do. Plastics, wasted food, and dirt was around it. It's sad and disgusting. As long as you were collecting, you saw a sword stabbed into the sand. Your eyes widened in surprise but then frowned in confusion.
Closely, you approached it, but the weirder thing is who left this sword here? Why no one noticed it? Do they even care? Is it tough to grab it? Is like a version of King Arthur's sword but stabbed in the sand. Carefully, you grabbed the sword. However, as touched you felt a strange and strong connection, it caused a sort of pain. Flashbacks come instantaneously into your mind. You freaked out, but you don't want to let go. Luckily, no one was watching, so you rapidly kept the sword in your bag and get back into the bus.
You were feeling odd after that. You didn't speak to anybody, nor either your best friend. At least you have the sword to figure it out, after that.
"Hey, are you ok?" Your best friend suspected
"Uh? Yeah...yup. I'm great...great. Don't worry about me!" You quickly reacted
"If you need to vent with me, you know that I'm always here by your side to help you!" Your pal suggested. Those words made you smile very pleased, that was extraordinarily charming the way your best companion tried to support you.
"You know what? I'm very glad that I've never had a mate just like you..."
She/He interrupted giving you a lovely hug. Which comforted you a lot.
"If you're in trouble, remember something that everything will be alright!" He/She said as the bus turned on to progress.

Spring
Warning: my sh*tty English writing
It was spring. Your teacher prepared for a school trip. You and your class are going to the beach, in case the weather will be fine. Everyone would go if parents could sign the authorization for the trip.
You were relieved to relax your mind and forget all the stress you went through with responsibilities.
This activity is about pollution on the beach, and you with your class are going to collect trash.
First, when you got home after school you ran to your parents holding the paper of the permission. Also after that, you have homework to do.
"Mom. Dad. I have this paper from the parent's permission to go on the school trip." You demonstrated as your mom was reading it
"Oh, honey, of course, you can go on the school trip!" Your mom signed and gave it back to you
"Just be careful and stay safe! All I want is for you to be ok!" Your dad counseled you before you returned to your room excitedly.
"Ah, I can't wait for next week! I have done too much schoolwork, so I have the right to relax my mind..." You thought it to yourself.
