After time, I am finally here with a testimonial to Red's wonderful services. I should start off that they are not advised for the very faint of heart. Then again, the person who stops telling you pretty lies will set you free instead, and Red is the perfect one to do that - kind, patient, understanding. Truth you had conveniently looked past will be brought to your attention gently, though you will be made to face it. For life's inconveniences, nothing's as candid and concise as Red's advice.
I am going to need an unnecessarily cheerful poster with the last sentence.
My job may be to tell people they are wrong, but I do try my best to make it a productive experience. Thank you, for your trust and your support. I am delighted I could help.
hey, can u maybe do the headcanons meme for Drumknott? :3c
I certainly can, here, have some feelings~
A. Drumknott is ace, but with an enormous secret crush on his boss. Well, he thinks it’s a secret. It really, really isn’t. this is also absolutely not me relating to a speccy paperwork nerd too hard shut up
B. He’s plotting revenge on Moist von Lipwig for all the pencil-stealing. Every stolen pencil makes the eventual outcome bigger and more embarrassing for Moist. Currently, this requires a seventeen-page to-do list and a colour-coded tally chart.
C. Hey so remember that time Drumknott got stabbed by someone he thought was his boss, who he works with every day and is clearly very fond of? Yeah. He might not be over that. He might never be over that. Oddly, he’s fine when Vetinari and/or Charlie are in the room, but it’s difficult to be in the office on his own outside of normal hours, especially first thing in the morning.
D. Drumknott and Lady Margolotta’s librarian do not have a Thing(tm) at all and are mostly just super competitive about who is the best at doing admin for weird old goth politicians. The only thing stopping them from sabotaging each other is their sheer horror at the thought of messing up someone’s filing system.

Hmmm What is my favourite quote OR which character makes me laugh the most?
I guess both, then!
There are SO MANY gr9 quotes in these books. To choose just one feels… WRONG because it means i am not-choosing all the others.
That being said, one quote I was always quite fond of is “And Stars don’t care what you wish, and magic don’t make things better, and nobody doesn’t get burned who holds their hand in a fire”I cannot explain why I like it, I don’t know, I just… I just really do(Honorable mention to “A POLICEMAN IS A CIVILIAN YOU INBRED STREAK OF PISS”)
Which character makes me laugh the most? Hmmmm that’s really difficult uuummVetinari does a LOT od ridiculous shit like punes and sarcasm and messing with people and JUGGLING… The contrast between the serious assassin/politician and the secret dork he is means he’s definitely up there in terms of making me laugh! Then there’s all the wizards and their pointless banteramong each other. I love that. Esp Ponder and Ridcully - hilarious.
But really, the funniest comments tend to come from the “narrator”, him who comments on the story, points out logical fallacies and writes sassy footnotes - the great sir Pterry himself. He can always make me giggle in public
