The first time, they simply stare at each other without saying anything. The second time, she reaches out to him. His hand is cold between her fingers. She doesn’t let go for what feels like a long time. “I miss you, Ben. When I follow the bond, there is nothing left.” The sorrow in his dark eyes almost suffocates her.
The third time is when they collide. It’s hard to tell who moves first but their lips crash against each other and hands grasp for anything to hold on to. Rey burns under his touch, when shaking fingers find their way under her tunic.
