The teenage years all seemed to have been an existential entrapment; caught in a tight space that seemed to tighten with the pressing of external expectations and the undefined sense of self heavy as basswood waiting to be carved. Officially arriving at my late twenties this year, I feel I am still sharpening the gouge, digging into the hard to reach crevices, shaping the still impressionable, tender remains.
