To start off, I haven't abandoned my comic. It just went on an indefinite hiatus. I rather that me working on it was out of passion than it being a chore for me. The story drops in quality when I'm forcing myself to it so for the sake of the state of my mind and the comic, I've taken a break from it. It will come back sooner or later though! Currently I cannot tell you exactly when that will be.

About 4 months ago I announced on NamiComi that S and A won't appeart in comic ever again (you can read more about it here). Ever since that, I've been wondering about the story of my AU. Whether I wanted it or not, those two characters had some significance in there and became part of the story. And I neither like nor want that.
I want to change some parts of the current story to erase those two from it. But that's not an easy task.
There's a whole plot of their species being outcasts to others because they got impersonated by someone else. And Hiromi, being from a planet that had its access to any other life forms cut, was the only one with no prejudice so she went in for the answers that apparently this guy had. And also the scar on her neck?? That's also connected heavily with those two mfs. And the whole "Wrath and Despair" trilogy, I can't just delete it and pretend it never happened as it's a crucial part of the story.
The easiest solution would be to just create new characters and replace the two with them. But that's just lazy and it doesn't feel right to me.
They firstly appear properly in the story in chapter 65, with Hiromi spotting S while going back with the girls to their home. We can erase that part completely (also I know he appears once before but that was just for one scene, it won't alter the story at all if I just delete it). Then after chasing that guy for the information, the "Wrath and Despair" thing happens. But before that: the driving force for Hiromi there is trying to get more info about the Gods, her planet, etc. so that could be happening as well here, without S, in chapters 66-68. Kinda like it was originally, there'd be something that piqued her interest so much so that she'd ignore the fact that Rheya and Roux are stalking her. And that leads to the event of the damn trilogy.
First part: the whole conversation between S and A, out. Instead of Hiromi wondering about the now non-existent conversation with S, she could be just searching for something, when suddenly the attack happens. She's all alone in this version with no one to rescue her but herself. I could make it so that she saves herself with the help of her silhouette, alluding to the events of some next chapters (e.g: ch82, 94). OR another version: there is someone to help her and it'd be the new character from the newest chapter (ch96). It'd be hard to explain what she can do as I haven't properly introduced her in the comic yet (I actually planned it for ch97 funnily enough) but in short: her abilities are about blocking the other's. This way, she could release Hiromi from under the spell/entrapment/(idk the word) of the other Hareans.
Second part: again, she'd be all alone. It would be like this if either she was alone in the previous part or not. The whole thing of showing the events from the first part from her perspective stays. The moments of the creation of the scar on her neck is also there. I'm not sure how I'd go about it, maybe she'd change her mind in the last possible moment before that would change into a fatal wound. Basically this chapter going from being angst-to-fluff to just angst. No hugs for my most beloved character.
Third part: honestly, I don't know. Throw the whole chapter away as it's just Hiromi and S talking anyway. It could be just her in mental anguish while she's trying to get away from that place.
Cut to the chapter 72, cut the whole scene at the beginning with S. It starts with Hiromi just trying to get back to the home after that whole attack. She'd be having even worse time than she's already shown to have. But either way, after that, the chapter would continue as it does now.
The next mention of S is in chapter 74 but I think that just a change of some lines/speech bubbles and it would be okay.
Chapter 75 is also mostly focused on S and the explosion he originally did. But because in new version it wouldn't happen, the whole chapter would be about something else entirely (except the last scene).
Chapters 76 and 77, I'd keep only the parts about Hiromi and the Miru one. Most probably I'd have to blend together chapters 75, 76 and 77 somehow. In this moments I don't know.
Honestly any chapter after that, just get the two mfs out and that's it. I genuinely don't have the vision on how exactly the story would be changed. It's a lot of work as not only did S and A had appeared here and there but also they were mentioned and that also breaks the flow of a chapter.
As of now, I don't have actual plans on remaking the already existing episodes. I'll have to just kind of accept that not everything potrayed in the comic is no longer canon. It saddens me a lot but what else can I do about it realistically. Also some might enjoy my comic as it is, so the chapters with either S or A won't be deleted (unless I actually decide on remaking those episodes).#etheluu runaway universe
