February Recap
February was a terrible month to do anything. The weather was hideous. The first blizzard blew in on January 30th and I've been inside hibernating ever since. With the first storm comes the excitement, the hot cocoa, good books that I haven't had the time for yet, and warm blankets while Mother Nature blows gusts of wind with falling snow and wreaks havoc on the outdoors. But the storms piggy-backed one another and one snow fall after another landed us with canceled race after canceled race. First, the Martha's Vineyard 20-Miler, my first time running and what would have been my longest race to date, was canceled for the first time since its inception. And not so soon after the Hyannis Half Marathon was also scratched from the lineup. Running took a backseat to moping. March is looking far more optimistic as the weather begins to turn around. Also, vacation to Mexico is staring me in the face. And I think the best medicine is sun rejuvination to spark my fancy feet!!! Next race scheduled is the Cape Cod Trail Race on April 12th!
