Sketch of Ben and Ed
Let’s discuss good level design! ‘Ben and Ed’ is a based on a Japanese gameshow that forces you as a player to get through it. The motto in this game is obvious of “the show must go on”. It seems simple but it does have same elements, that really add to how this game plays out. Ed the zombie, is the main character. Being a zombie gives you qualities like being able to detach some of your body parts, to push a button on the other side of a wall. Or another feature is when you are in the gameshow if you lose an arm or a leg, you can still continue to play. There are many aspects that make this game different. A little more interesting than any gameshow I have watched. I believe this game though, is a great way to show that gameplay is teaching the player something. Ben and Ed implements an engaging way to introduce the controls to the player. The white board is a piece of narrative that teaches gameplay, which combines the fields of narrative and the actual gameplay. This game also starts out with walking you through a trial of what is coming next, and what the player needs to know, to move through the game. Understanding how these two things can work together. Causes developers to learn how to create meaningful levels. This level is very important, even though this is gameplay. This is crucial time for players to learn how the games controls work. Without this part of the game players will not understand the basics to this game. In conclusion, this level design is smart but yet quite simple. In other words, I would say it is a well designed level.
So, this Ben and Ed indie 3D platformer’s pretty fun...

This is rUNdead in Charleston SC, it's a 5k run where the runners have to run from zombies. This is it's website if you want to sign up, you can be a zombie or a runner. There are three types of zombies in the race: Ragers (28 Days Later), Walkers (The Walking Dead), and Clueless (Shaun of the Dead). They each do different things. Ragers chase the runners at certain points, Walkers come out of the woods at runners, and Clueless travel in groups. The zombies have to try and get the flags from off of the runners' back.
