One word prompts.→ 20. cry

There was nothing she could do. Nothing she could do to salvage this.

Everything that she did was wrong, and this was no damn exception. All she could really do was to cry about it-- as if that would solve anything. It’s just as the priestesses back home had told her. 「Crying does nothing but make it worse.」It was better to just lock these negative emotions within, where no one would see. That way, no one would really notice.

But even so, she couldn’t help it. Tears rolled down her cheeks as soon as the door was shut, as soon as he left. Probably never to come back. It was like before, when her best friend left. Now another person that she considered her “best friend” had closed the door behind her too.

He was gone.

...

And just like that, history repeated itself. Leaving her alone again. All she was ever met with in life after all were closed doors.

“Three? Do I even have that many?” She mused to herself, pursing her lips to the side. “Well I can cook and bake.” Did those count as two? Cooking and baking were definitely different from each other, so she was going to count it.

“Hm...I consider myself to be a decent gardener, but I have to give Cam props for that. He’s the real talent, teehee~ Oh, and I learned everything I know about cooking and baking from my parents, so they’re the ones that deserve that title.” Laney nods, satisfied with her answer.

There’s no real emotion to his tone. It seems to be something he’s come to terms with.

ASK MEME | HERMIT: WHAT ARE YOU LIKE WHEN YOU’RE ALONE?

FINGERS NERVOUSLY THREAD THROUGH HAIR. What they're like when they're alone? There isn't really much to be said. They were barely a person until a short few months ago — though, they wonder now if there is a difference now between Woofio the person and whoever this is. Of course, that Woofio was still him.

He still liked chasing after balls and getting the occasional scratch on the tummy. Couldn't say he was very much a fan of the treats like he used to be, but that might be just because they have an actual tongue now. That doesn't like the taste of dog treats.

He pulls gently on his ponytail. "The same, I think." A pause. "Usually without Woofio, though."

      Ah, but what about CHARMING? Lovable, warm & friendly, like sunshine itself where Mistel is a cold winter snow. Intrinsically good, then, is an opposite to someone like him.

ASK MEME // HERMIT: what are you like when you’re alone?

There were two ways that such a question could be answered. Two different meanings, one more cynical than the other. What did she like to do when she was alone. Michelle would maintain a smile despite the constant firing of ideas in her head which otherwise would leave any other person with a dazed and confused look plastered on their face. It was open and obvious that Michelle liked to practise magic when she was by herself, however, there was also something else she liked to do when she was alone. She liked to think, she liked to imagine, she liked to escape. The world was scary and magic was the only thing that was her saviour. When she was alone, not even magic could save her from her thoughts.

Regardless Michelle shrugged and flashed a signature smile. “What do I do when I’m alone? I practise magic, silly!” she exclaimed, twirling her baton. “I’m a magician, what else would I do?”

something you’ve been anticipating for a long time?

     This one is easy. Sebastian’s present is often made up of foggy memories that he can barely recall, but he has enough foresight to know what he wants to do with his life, it’s just a matter of deciding how he’s going to do it.

     But, as said, this answer is easy:

     “Getting out of this dead-end I’ve found myself in.” That sounds... almost a little too edgy, but he shrugs it off. “I wanna travel, get somewhere more suited to... my style.” Which... he doesn’t know what his style is, but he can figure it out.
