Trying to improve my #run cadence to protect my shins ... With mixed results .. Speed is all over the place, but my cadence remains frustratingly stable! #runner #runnergirl #runnersofinstagram #runnergoals #runcadence #garmin #garminforerunner235 #runningform #strongnotskinny #fitness #fitgirl #speedrun
Did my first 12 minute run, smashed out a 6:10/km! Nearly died but shins are feeling pretty good!! 👍💪🙌 Goal for this year is run the 5k fun run at Sydney Harbour in July. Starting to feel possible at last. #runner #running #run #shinsplints #shinsplintssuck #2018running #recovery #strongnotskinny #runnergirl #2018goals #sydneyharbour5k #goals #runnergoals

Thank goodness for warm weather and spring break. Tired of rain and school and a fast pace 3 mile run is exactly what I needed. Working on speed more for the next couple weeks since I have a 2 miler I want to try to run it around a 7.40 pace at the slowest.
Finished February with a 5k run working on my speed for the first time in a while and it felt pretty great, 23.56 and a 7:43 pace which isn't my fastest, but the fact I could just get out there and push myself a little harder than usual. Finishing the month with another 100+ miles is a great feeling! Proud of myself for the start I'm having to 2016, and hoping to keep it going through March!
