As we run this Trilogy campaign I'm planning to put together some videos on the planning and preparation side of running the game. Here's the one I recorded ahead of the first session - this obviously contains spoilers for that session but tries to avoid wider ones for the season.

Also the quality is really poor because I'm a dipshit who ran off a test version then tried to render and ignored the warning pop-up so it overwrote my source video, with the obvious consequence that the "high quality" version was just the Windows XP background talking. Honestly? Might have been an improvement. The sound is pretty good though, maybe just treat it as a podcast that you can accidentally see if you forget to look away in time.

I think I realised why I'm so unsatisfied with some of my TTRPG games.

I think I'm going in with the mindset that they're more like books from the perspective of the game runner. I keep forgetting the inherently unlimited interactive element where the environment/medium interacts with the players as much as the players interact with the environment.
