Even if Col failed, the consequence would have been something interesting happening - the guard still has a grip on Amber so she has to find another way to escape, another guard seizes Col, the story moves forward. I get that different people want different things from their epic fantasy tabletop games but sometimes it feels a shame that our less-well-known games will never sell enough copies to mark a rounding error on a Hasbro spreadsheet.
