Hei, jeg har et spørsmål - hva er forskjellen mellom (eller hva er korrekt) 'å dra til å drikke' eller 'å dra for å drikke'? And actually i'd be happy for any tips for using 'for' and 'til', i find it difficult since they don't translate directly. Mange takk for å være snill!

The correct one out of these two would be “å dra for å drikke” (”to go to drink”).

“For” and “til” are hard to grasp, since they’re both often translated as “to” in English-- but I think the easiest way I’m able to explain the difference between the two, is like this:

“å dra til” - “to go to (A PLACE)” || for locations

“å dra for” - “to go to (DO SOMETHING)” || for actions

-----------

And this is why you need to use “å dra FOR” when you want to say “to go to drink”, since “to drink” is a verb/action! uvu
