When Rupert's grandfather passes, his will stipulates that Rupert must be married for at least six months time before he can inherit anything. Rupert decides that his young next door neighbor that can't stand him, and is clearly in need of money, is perfect for the job. OR, Rupert needs a wife, Taggie needs money, they agree to six months of the married life.

Plot: Rupert's reputation is a problem for the franchise, the solution? Fake dating Taggie to show he's a changed man.

Chapter Summary: Rupert throws a party with all of Venturer and company as an excuse to show off their new fake relationship and get some good press. The night doesn't exactly go as planned.

rutag week day 4: AU

Taggie is a renowned horse trainer with an uncanny ability to connect with even the most unmanageable horses. Rupert, a wealthy and notoriously difficult ranch owner (with a secondary involvement in government, but that's neither here nor there), has a prized but untamable stallion—one that no trainer has been able to break nor wanted to since the accident. Desperate, he begrudgingly hires Taggie, who soon realizes that the horse isn’t the only stubborn creature she has to deal with.

Rupert recovered physically from his accident months ago, but some things even time can't heal. When he learns of Taggie's expertise he thinks his problems are solved; Tempest will finally ride again. Taggie's unsettling presence isn't without its challenges, though.
