A long time ago, I wrote a post about Shukashuu voicing a character in the mobile game “Dragon Genesis -Bonds of the Holy War-”. The character, Proserpina, is actually two people: Purose the cheerful goddess of spring, and Rupina the gruff queen of the underworld (the JP pronunciation of Proserpina, the Roman goddess of the underworld, is Puroserupina).

I thought that this role was fantastic because of the huge contrast between the two voices used for the character, so I promised that I would eventually record and translate all of her lines. However, this project kept getting pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances. I still do want to TL those lines, but admittedly it’s going to be a while before I can get around to it.

In the meantime, here’s a preview of some of the lines from Rupina, who I consider the more interesting of the duo (since Shukashuu uses a rarely-heard deep voice for Rupina). Rupina is violently protective of Purose - literally, she threatens extreme violence against the player at the smallest provocation.
