PEARL JAM 2014 18”x24" • Screen Print . I’m a day late on posting this. . I did this poster in 2014?! Feels like a lifetime ago. . This was commissioned by @pearljam & @mrtsurt for their show in Amsterdam. . I still get people coming up to me to tell me they were at that show. It’s amazing to see that some bands have an audience so dedicated that they’ll travel to another country just to see a band perform. That’s awesome! . Not gonna lie - I grew up on Pearl Jam. Heck, all the Seattle bands that were making their way to the Midwest via MTV, magazines, and our favorite record store #RushmorRecords . I dug all those bands! Back in ’92, my friend Jason’s mom Alicia, worked for #marquetteuniversity that Pearl Jam was going to play. She snuck us in to see them and our minds were blown. #EddieVedder was still climbing scaffolding and hanging upside down while the band played on. We were also underage so we felt pretty cool for being there. . The band was awesome to work with and really go out of their way to promote the artists they work with. #nudgenudgewinkwink More clients should take notice. Doesn't cost a dime. . If you're familiar with #pearljam then you'll notice I based this off their song #dotheevolution The skeleton underneath is of a Gibbon. I posted the line art a few days back. So now you can see how this all came together. Had a blast with the collage background. Hopefully, you'll notice all the references to the song, Darwinism and other sings by the band. . . .
