Reflections about RussellMinka, especially Minka
[Art belongs to this awesome artist, unfortunately I can't draw that pretty.]
Surpsiginly for me after "Standup Stinker" I started to like Russinka.
In first season I didn't understand Russinka and Pennusell both because I didn't see chemistry between them. I'm not sure why, but probably it's because of my obsession to friendshipping. I mean, I don't need lovers when I've got fantastic friends.
So I didn't see chemistry in Russinka at all and when I'm thinking about I think that's because of Minka's character in first season. Despite I liked her I couldn't tell that I see in her fairly, full personality; and I could say it about other characters, like Russell, Vinnie or Zoe, whose were a lot more complicated characters in my opinion. Maybe I just didn't need to ship really realistic personality with personality with a lot of unrealized potential.
But then second season appeared and it makes from Minka one of my favourite girl characters in Littlest Pet Shop. She was just adorable in season one, but she is interesting, realistic monkey girl in season two. She didn't just painting and being hyperactive, she's more than this. In second season we can see her confused and angry ("Grounded"), nice and helpful ("The Big, Feathered Parade"). She also has got more memorable lines ("Littlest Bigfoot"). I started to really appreciate Minka but I was totally forgetting about her pairing with Russell.
And then I saw "Standup Stinker", the episode which gave Minka the dilemma and returned to her relationship with Russell. Now, when Minka has got more fairly personality, Russinka started to be more attractive for me, because I finally saw chemistry between two realistic, interesting characters. A lot of Russell's words in this episode and Minka's behaviour... damn, this ship started to be really adorable.
