Mangia Bene-Russo’s NY Pizzeria!
Have you or your family experienced a restaurant that is so wonderful that you keep thinking about it? The moment you step into one of the 3 local Russo’s New York Pizzeria restaurants you feel the stress leave your body and the aroma will encouraging you to linger until even after your hunger is satisfied.
The Russo’s New York Pizzeria in The Woodlands, Conroe, and Spring Marketplace are locally operated by Guillermo Medellin and Debra Guajardo, residents of The Woodlands since 2000. The couple wanted to invest and give back in the community. Their first location at 3335 HWY 242 in The Woodlands was purchased in 2009. As the restaurant grew and became more recognized in the community they decided to build a second location, this time in Conroe. In 2014, the Conroe location (located at 3915 W. Davis) was built in the HEB Shopping Center. Lastly in January of 2015, their newest location was built showcasing a private room for gatherings, parties, or meetings, a separate bar area and an outdoor patio. Three locations with 3 unique characteristics-but all the same made to order Italian meals and award winning brick oven New York style pizza and calzones!
The difference between Russo’s New York Pizzeria and other restaurants is its genuine commitment to using fresh, quality products while continuing to offer affordable prices in a casual dining experience. Trying something new each visit could be an exhausting endeavor! Stromboli, zuppe (soups), insalate (salads), brick oven calzones, specialty pastas, flatbread sandwiches, ravioli, spaghetti, lasagna, baked ziti, fettucine alfredo, chicken picatta, eggplant parmesan, chicken marsala, chicken parmesan, and of course New York style brick oven PIZZA are all offered on the menu!
Thin-hand tossed Greek pizza, Vegetarian pizza, Margherita pizza, and Build Your Own pizza are all available. Planning a party? At 28” in diameter, the XL Party Pizza is the way to go! Your choice of toppings and it feeds up to 10 people! Hungry for dessert? Try the homemade Tiramisu, New York Cheesecake, Italian Cream Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Italian Cannoli, and Carrot Cake. Do you want a specialty wine or craft beer to pair with your meal? Russo’s offers a great selection. Check out the complete Menu.
That’s not all! Russo’s also offers a specialty #GlutenFreeMenu, #ToGo service, and yes-Italian style #Catering for family events, any size party, school and church events, business meetings, and any other celebration! Pizza, sandwich or pasta trays for meetings, and pasta and salad trays for events are the most popular. Since opening in 2009, Russo’s locations in The Woodlands, Conroe, and Spring Marketplace have served various schools and churches with full catering events from 100 to 1200 people.
A new item on the menu is Kale, including the Chicken Kale Pesto, the Spinach Kale and Artichoke Dip, and the Chicken and Kale Pizza. Whoever thought that eating healthy could be so easy?
Lunch specials with pizza by the slice (Russo’s Giant 14” slice), salads, and selected pastas run Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday Italian Brunch is 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Italian Style French Toast, Uova and Salsiccia (poached eggs with prosciutto and Italian sausage over baby spinach) and the Smoked Salmon Omelet are some of my favorites! And don’t forget to accompany the meal with delicious handmade bottomless Mimosas!
Guillermo and Debra are actively involved in the Greater Conroe Chamber, the Spring/Klein Chamber, and The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. You can sample their menu tastings at various annual events including Tastefest, Taste of the Town, The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival, and during The Woodlands Food and Wine Week.
Unlike many franchises, community involvement is a hallmark of The Woodlands, Conroe, and Spring Marketplace Russo’s locations. Local sponsorships of various with Conroe ISD schools, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Education for Tomorrow Alliance, local churches, Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation, Breast Cancer Charities of America, Women of Vision, and animal rescue are only some of the causes supported by The Woodlands. Conroe, and Spring Marketplace Russo’s locations.
