DIY Phone case 2.0: Vinyl: Cars themed: By hero central

Hi folks Alex here with my latest DIY phone case project. My voltron themed case seemed to be peeling away after so many months being pulled in and out of jean pockets, so it sadly had to be retired. Therefore I decided to design a new cover with a more recent theme such as Disney's upcoming Cars 3. This time instead of painting I would be using vinyl cutting for the case and decals. The entire case backing was contained in red vinyl to act as the background as I wanted this case to relate to the racing suit that Mcqueen wears at the training centre during the film. The numbers, logo and name were found on google images then cut in yellow and orange vinyl. I know the suit was yellow and red but yellow doesn't stand out against yellow so I added some orange. These were applied to the phone case then sealed in place using lacquer spray to give a preserved finish.

This was one of my more ambitious phone cases given how difficult it was wrapping the case in vinyl and making sure the phone fitted in place. However it was worth all the patience since results speak for themselves.
