Being a beauty blogger it’s no surprise I come across a lot of products. Some good others not so good, but Laura Mercier is definitely one of the top brands, why you ask? When a makeup artist creates her own makeup brand and after 20 years the makeup brand is still on top then you know they are doing something right! My mom was a makeup junkie and I remember when I was 14 years old I use to dig in her makeup drawer and try on all her makeup. I learned the value a good makeup brand. So when I came across Laura Mercier around 7 years ago I knew it was good stuff. Recently I received some items from Laura Mercier, some I’ve tried, other I haven’t.
The products I received are:
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder: I’ve used this powder before and I remembered how much I loved it but had to switch to something heavier when I started breaking out, but since my pimples are starting to go away I’m back to using this. I love this powder, its translucent so it suits all skin tones; I just dust it on top of my foundation and I’m good to go. The powder really absorbs oil and the texture is super fine so it makes your makeup look flawless.
Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour: I have tons of lipstick, way too many. But surprisingly I don’t have this color (cocoa pout), it’s between a brown color and a maroon color perfect for the fall/winter. The color is super vibrant. For people who like matte lipsticks and satin lipsticks this is perfect for you because its semi- matte.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer: I’m usually not a primer person because whenever I put on a primer I end up breaking out, but this primer isn’t like the others, this one is especially made for sensitive skin, its also oil-free and like most primers its not clear silicon based, it looks more like a lotion. Put this on your skin 10 minutes before you put on makeup and your skin will look absolutely flawless. I’m now a lover of primer…well this one at least.
