Décor that interests me is different, casual, creative, & old. This rustic flat in Spain is loaded with inspiration. Instead of a coffee table, they used wine crates. While that may not work for everyone, you have to admit, it’s creative and holds a lot of stuff.
You can see how old the flat is by the cracked floors and plaster walls under the white paint that gives it a fresh, modern look. There are no cabinets in the kitchen, providing an opportunity to use interesting storage pieces, instead.
Wonderful worn stairs and an original cabinet set into the plaster.
I don’t care about big, shiny, modern white kitchens. This is my dream kitchen.
Sweet baby’s room.
Small, cozy master bedroom.
There’s that cute little door/window again. The remodeled bath fits the look of the home- love the bench seat.
And, what a bonus. It has a terrace. Beautiful scenery.

Designers Pierre & Stephane knocked it out of the park when they decorated this dark, rough apt. with the crazy layout in Lyons, France.
They gave it dark, rustic, and earthy tones.
It has a weird little kitchen tucked in beside the fireplace, but they made it beautiful.
The beamed ceilings are stunning.
Even the hallway is quirky, but it looks so good.
It really took designers to make this place beautiful.
Look at the size of that sink.

Jean & her daughter, Tennessee have the coolest apt. Jean is a visual merchandising artist and you can tell how artistic she is by the way her home is set up.
The groups of collections, like the bird cages, make the home. She found the ladder in the garbage.
The whole apt. is unified by the beautiful bleached gray woods.
The entry to the apt. has a wall of books with a fabulous sliding ladder.
View from the living room into the dining room.
Industrial tables and a collection of globes.
Isn’t that stone platform unusual?
I love the old kitchen. The sink is 100 yrs. old, original to the building and every cutting board in the kitchen has a story.
Jean’s bedroom has the essentials- her books.
Collection of vintage suitcases.
Tennessee’s room has a grouping of art that her father made, above the bed.
Even the bathroom carries the theme. Their apt. is just so different and artistic.
