We grab lunch at Olive Garden, spend hours treasure hunting through Thrift Town and the Goodwill Bins (and wow… we found some incredible pieces!), make our traditional Trader Joe’s stop, then head back home to the homestead where the work continues. The next day Kyle gets busy transforming our side yard while I unpack all of our thrift finds and show you some of my favorite statement pieces we scored. There’s something so satisfying about seeing forgotten pieces find a second chance. Nothing fancy. Nothing overproduced. Can we make it Happen? Trying to run a traveling business without a working bus has its limits...

While Kyle, Molly, and Ben load up and make the long journey to El Paso, Texas to work the Totally Rad Vintage Fest, Jenn stays behind at the homestead with Eli to tackle a much-needed deep cleaning day. From scrubbing and organizing Daisy, our 1998 MCI bus home, to cleaning up Goldie Barns and refreshing our patio space, it’s one of those productive days that feels really good when it’s finally done. Meanwhile, Kyle and the kids spend the weekend setting up, selling vintage, meeting amazing people, and making the 5½-hour drive each way across New Mexico and Texas. By the time everyone makes it back home, exhaustion has definitely set in—but so has gratitude. Sometimes life isn’t glamorous. It’s long drives, dirty floors, market weekends, and crossing things off the to-do list. But it’s also family, teamwork, simple moments, and building a life we genuinely love. tackling bus projects one by one we almost gave up during the first one...

The plan was ambitious: install a TV from Blue Betty, put up wall boards, add a couple of outlets, and finally fill our homemade garden bed with soil so we can start growing some food here at the homestead. As often happens in real life, not everything went according to plan. We didn’t get to every project on the list, but sometimes the best parts of the day are the ones you never schedule. The ending of this vlog ended up being one of those moments—and let’s just say the kids were pretty happy about it. Oh Hail No! Prepping for the Totally Rad Vintage Fest in Albuquerque NM and Theodore is on a Roll..

But before we could even begin packing, Mother Nature had other plans. A surprise hail storm rolled through our New Mexico homestead, and Kyle woke up to a discovery that left him completely shocked. Once the skies cleared, it was time to channel our inner Tetris champions as we somehow managed to pack our Jeep Grand Cherokee to the brim with vintage clothing, thrifted treasures, and all the essentials needed for a vintage market weekend. With alarms ringing at 3:25 AM, Jenn, Kyle, and Molly piled into the Jeep and made the 2.5-hour drive from Mora, New Mexico to Albuquerque for the Totally Rad Vintage Fest. After a long day of setup, shopping, selling, and meeting some incredible people, we had an absolute blast being part of one of New Mexico’s biggest vintage shopping events. By the time we made the drive home, we were completely exhausted—but the adventure wasn’t over yet. The next morning, Theodore continued what can only be described as his legendary streak of questionable life choices.
