I’ll admit to jumping to conclusions.

I’ll admit to jumping to conclusions.
Ironwood had two seats on the council, brought an army to a historically peaceful event, and tried to keep the fact that Penny was an android with Aura a secret from literally everyone. He also knew full well that Winter, and by extension Weiss, Whitely, and Willow were all abused by Jacques and did… nothing. He also discourages individuality, if the way Atlas is run is anything to go by, and instilled Martial Law onto Mantle, arresting anyone who fights grimm without his say-so.
Outside of that Martial Law thing, we saw all of this well before Volume 7. How people didn’t see that he would go mad with power is beyond me, but whatever.
I can’t believe that I’ve had to defend qrow multiple times just because he decided to not abandon two people (one of which was unconscious) who would have had to fight a serial killer with venomous capabilities on their own.
Like… I hate qrow, and even I don’t blame him for Clover ignoring the serial killer.
When I watched Captain America: Civil War, I thought that it was stupid that the governments of the world would blame the traumatized young woman for peoples’ deaths instead of fucking HYDRA.
Then I occasionally see people blaming team RWBY for all these kingdoms falling despite them being there to help and the fact that the villains were the reason for them going to hell and I realize that it’s not that far out of the question that the people who don’t have the full context of what’s going on would do that since people who do have the full context of what’s going on would also blame the heroes instead of the villains.
Y’know what?- Fuck all those anons for making me defend qrow of all characters.
I know I recently made the revelation that Oz fell for gaslighting and that Salem is the victim of it, but like… Goddamn. I just can’t get over it.
Salem was more or less just doing her own thing in her cabin in the woods. I doubt that she was even ordering grimm around at all. She was probably just wallowing in her own misery, and probably could have realized the lesson that the god who gaslighted her in the first place supposedly wanted her to learn was on her own, had Oz not been sent there by the guy who gaslighted Salem.
Like… if the writers realize this, and then start building up to the revelation that the gods are the bad guys and that humanity has to unite against them (Thus both fulfilling the requirements for Oz being allowed to rest, and possibly giving Salem the same deal), that would be really awesome.
Because like… Goddamn. Salem was gaslighted by the gods… and Oz fell for it. A lot of people fell for that.
Goddamn…
Even I fell for it. I’m pretty sure that most people in the rwde tag didn’t even realize that Salem was gaslighted in the first place.
Salem and Oz are both victims of gaslighting. One of them is the victim of it, and the other is the victim of falling for it.
Holy shit. This is haunting me right now. I will never be able to get over this.
The rest of the Done dirty posts have already been scheduled, so no stopping that. It’s just that… after watching hbomb’s video, and getting the motivation to finish some of those posts… I… I kinda realized that that was what happened.
I think… Looking at it now… this show is… well, it’s still disappointing, but still… realizing that pretty much every villain that the narrative throws at you is just as much of a victim as the main characters (minus jaune (sorry, had to get that in there, it’s my brand)) is just…
The show is trying to send a message. Whether that’s a good message or a bad message is unknown. I’m not a fortune teller. And it’s entirely possible that they’ll hire a new writer who will come to this conclusion and make right with it, or not. So…
Fingers Crossed.
Please.
