Electric type!
My favourite type of all, right off the bat? Truly, I am blessed.
Favourite Electric type: Ampharos isn’t just my favourite electric type; it’s my favourite Pokémon, the final evolution of my favourite evolutionary line. Pokémon Gold was the first game in the series that really hooked me, and I have loved Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos ever since then. And then sixth generation happened, and gave Ampharos the most luxurious mane ever in its Mega Evolution… Yeah. I love it.
Second Favourite: Galvantula, one of the most adorable spiders ever. I love its Bug/Electric typing, I love its ability (91% accurate Thunder? Yes, please!), and I love its look.
Cutest: This is sort of a battle between the first forms of my two favourites here, and while Mareep is adorable in a normal sheep sort of way, Joltik is the cutest little ball of electric fluff and it wins this.
Least Favourite: Electabuzz looks less like a Pokémon and more like a weird superhero costume… but not in a way that would be awesome. (A Pokémon that was a superhero or based on the concept of superheroes would be sweet.)

Very exciting on both counts! Good luck with the publishers!

Ooh, a return to fan-fiction, you say? I've very much loved your original works, but I will admit that IS a special little surprise. Eager to see. ^_^

Aaaahh, sloppy make outs. Some things never change! :'D
Ha, ha, thank you, everyone, for the enthusiasm. It’s heartwarming to see.
And, lo, indeed, sloppy make-outs are eternal.

You deserve it, man. Have fun, and nice work.

Again, congrats. Really glad this worked out so well for you. ^_^
Thanks so much. Things went really well--the response to the story (which was the full reading of a story I’d only gotten partly through before) was very strong and positive, and I couldn’t be happier with how things went.

First name confirmed
Ha! Truthfully I hadn’t intended to play coy about my first name--I’ve just always used my initials when writing. But after posting that newsletter blurb, I actually went and changed my “About” page to list my full name.
25, 30
25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?
i ALWAYS listen to something while drawing. lately i’ve been listening to a lot of mcelroy podcasts while working, but i also listen to music a lot when i work, especially if i’m also writing (i can’t concentrate on a podcast while writing). i just don’t like to work in silence, even in art class i’d get out my phone and put on some aquabats or something
journcy said: Crewniverse’s work in short-form TV is honestly inspiring. They do so much with so little
gojira007 reblogged this from jllongwrites and added:
This. It’s been one of the show’s most consistently impressive traits; there ARE times where I can feel the time-limit constricting the show a little, but far more often than not it turns the short form very much to its advantage.
I know, right? I mean, it’s a show created by mere mortals, so there are areas of improvement, but the quality and complexity fit into ten minutes is consistently, admirably high.
rwlart said: An interesting fact, in case you’re unaware, is that for SU and some of Cartoon Network’s other shows, the writers are also the artists. They write the dialogue as they storyboard the episodes. Which just makes it even more impressive, to me, heh.
I had, in fact, been unaware of that. That’s really neat. Reminds me of Renaissance drama, where the playwrights were also actors.
Then again, what doesn’t remind me of Renaissance drama?
iamkickingtelevision said: Geez, even abridged Victor Hugo is ungodly long? What is it with 19th and early 20th century French authors and staggeringly long novels?
They didn’t have television, so there was nothing better to do than read and write novels the width of a brick.
iamkickingtelevision said: Also ‘David Copperfield’? I’m not sure if it’s that pretentious out of high school, but some of my friends consider NAKED LUNCH and ULYSSES mandatory reading. So it sound that pretentious to me. ;D
I tried to read ... it was either Ulysses or Finnegans Wake, also in high school. Couldn’t make it past thirty pages. When Burroughs died and the news was reporting on his oeuvre, I tried to get Naked Lunch from the library but had to settle for Queer. Or perhaps I shouldn’t say I settled, because that novel was still a definitive literary experience. And fucked me up something good, for a while, anyways.
Also, I feel like I’m a non-negligible level of pretentious now, and I was even worse back then, so ...
rwlart said: “Pip and the Amazing Spacemonkeys” is perhaps the best band name I’ve ever heard of in my life. Also, I’m curious: what’s the other country you’ve lived in?
Ha, ha, thank you. (Special bonus fact: The bassist was Pip. He denied it, but the rhythm guitarist and I decided he was, so it was two to one.)
I lived in Germany for five years. My mother was stationed at a base over there while serving in the Air Force.
rwlart said: Anytime people say something like “immortality would get so boring eventually” I just go ????????
Ha! Yes, I think I am willing to take on the possibility of becoming bored sometimes in exchange for immortality.
(Also, sometimes I think of everything that’s happened in just the last hundred years--which is a long but actual human lifespan--and it blows my mind. I’d love to see what happens in the next hundred years, or five hundred, or thousand.)

Eh I don't think I'd liked Twilight replace Quibble since you'd have to change a lot of the episode also Twilight and Dash are getting an episode later in the season assuming all the rumors from Comic Con hold up
Oh, that’s cool. (I haven’t been keeping up with spoilers and episode info, at all, so I didn’t know.)
gojira007 replied to your post “Okay, I finally watched last week’s pony episode, and all I can think...”
I'm a long-time Oswalt fan, and I did find him pretty funny in the role...buuuuuuuuuut yeah, it's REALLY obvious Twi gets unfairly sidelined here, and given just HOW OFTEN the "aww shucks I gotta stay behind" thing's been trotted out the last couple seasons, it can't help but grate. >_<
The episode actually made me appreciate Oswalt more (not that I disliked him before--just haven’t seen him in much, so no real opinion). I did really like his voice acting.
And mostly, I just want more of the Mane Six hanging out together. Would really enjoy a good all-six scene, in particular.
rwlart replied to your post “durfershur replied to your post:durfershur replied to your post:Okay,...”
I love the mane six, and I like other ponies too, but like, we've already got lots of those? I feel like more reusing of the already enormous cast is in order rather than, as you said, new ponies we'll never see again.
Oh, so, SPOILER, but A.K. Yearling/Daring Do shows up in the ep too. So there’s a return. But I am pretty “meh” about Daring Do/Yearling, so I didn’t really care about her being in the episode one way or another.
(You know who I wanna see? CELESTIA AND LUNA. Give me princess sisters, show!)
