i looked up how old i'd be in 2063 when it's the 100th anniversary of doctor who bc i was curious, and there's nothing that will leave you quite as nostalgic as realising i'd be 61, and then giving you a full on existential crisis lmao. christopher eccleston would be 99 if he lived that long, david would be 92, matt smith would be 81, peter capaldi would probably be dead or 105, and jodie would be 82, and it honestly freaks me out. i'm really not emotionally prepared to be 61 and celebrating the 100th anniversary, knowing some of the doctors wouldn't be with us. i got about 5 hours of sleep last night so feel free to ignore this if its non-sensical rambling, lmao.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed that. It was clear, beautiful, solid characters, creepy monsters, and a Doctor that I believed in from the get go. Everyone now also has enough room to grow as the series goes on. One of my favourite openers of NuWho. Bring on episode 2. Don’t get me wrong there were issues, I think the Doctor in this point is still growing and I saw the Grace plot line a mile off, but I’ve not smiled like that watching a new episode in a long time, and if that’s what the rest of the series is going to be like I’m a happy woman.
