I Watched...

I watched you... Breakdown completely at the news of the loss. I watched and I waited in that space with you. I watched you fall apart. I watched the pain rush over you, the loss, the pain of those around you. I watched as it took over your entire being. I watched you feel. Every. Single. Thing. I watched your chest completely deflate and then fill back up again, over and over as you struggled to wrap you mind around what had happened. I watch you fight through the urge to retreat. I watched you break open and reach out for help. I watched you take that sadness, that pain, that despair and transform it completely. I watched you connect and put goodness back into the world. I watched you heal. I watched you... It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. -ryantkelsey

My Lovely,

Something has broken free within me. Something unbridled and raw. That primal force we all hold within us, the one that shows its face in times of desperate need, want or fear of life, has come thrashing to the surface.

I feel it pulsing through my veins. It’s claws dig deep into every thread of my being. I feel it dismantling the walls I have spent so much of my life constructing to keep out the pain of the world. I feel its heart pounding against mine, it’s breath drags across my neck. The beast has awoken from it’s slumber and has taken over.

And I…Am…Surrendering.

My Lovely,

I will always get lost in the moments with you. Unapologetic. Unashamed. I will bare my soul. I will remain in the uncomfortable spaces with you. I will lay it on the line, all of it, all of myself, so you will never know doubt about all the ways I feel for you.

I will provide safe harbor for you to come home to for as long as you choose. I will show you love, always. I will skillfully and artfully master your language. I will learn all the deepest desires of your heart, so that I may always find ways to encourage and inspire you to bring them to life.

I will fight through my natural urge to retreat when things are hard. I will rip open my chest and spill what’s inside me out into that space. I will always speak the truth, even when I know it may hurt you. I will assume the best of you. I will give you my heart, my time, my loyalty, my devotion, my love. I will give you myself, completely. Only for you…

My Lovely, Broken, open, I stand before you. With my heart somewhat tattered yet beating with intensity, in my hands. I offer up to you all that I have and all that I am. It is yours. Take this risk with me. Let us Love one another to our fullest capacity. I want all of you. The beautiful, the ugly, the broken, the tattered. I want the dreamer, the lover and the fighter. Lovely pt. 5

These hands were built to travel the curves and bends of your body. They were built to memorize every inch of you. These hands were built to wipe the tears from your eyes when you have sorrow. They were built to lift you up.

Sometimes they grow weary. Sometimes they get worn. But these splendid, strong, spectacular, wonderful hands, are so, because these hands, my hands, were built, for you.
