“Mikuni. May I have a word with you?”

Even though she was constantly seen with a glare on her face, something about this one spoke of actual anger rather than just her usual cool expression. Perhaps it was the tenseness in the rest of her body; the way her hands were curled into fists. Perhaps it was just the extra energy she seemed to be putting in her glare, almost like she was hoping that it would be able to kill the man in front of her.

“I’ve been informed  that you have a very... shall we say, violent, relation with my Eve. Anything to say in your defense?”

♫–    The next morning, or rather afternoon, was met with a small noise from the sleeping hound. They were all very fortunate that Tsurugi had not woken once during the night, and had actually managed to sleep soundly. It was his first long sleep in quite some time and long it certainly decided to be. Tsurugi had slept like the dead until the sun was well into the sky. Even the small vibrations of his phone from missed calls at work didn’t seem to rouse him.

         Eventually though, the sleeping beauty did wake of his own accord from his deep slumber and peered open blurry eyes to the world around him. Only... this world was not familiar. This wasn’t his room... not his bed...

          The C3 member, finding himself rather perturbed, began to raise from the bed and at that time realized the throbbing weight of his hangover. Ah... that’s right, he’d been out drinking with Yumi-chan and Jun-chan last night. Where the hell did he end up? Tsurugi brought his hands over his face to rub the sleep off and try to recall. Let’s see... Junichirou offered a ride... and then he called Mikuni--oh... OH... OH FUCK!

           Last night’s memories came crashing down like a lightning bolt into his person, prompting Tsurugi to panic. He looked around for Mikuni, calling out when he wasn’t able to find said Alicein in .00002 seconds.

           ❝ Kuni-chan...?! Kuni-chan!! ❞

           Well... Tsurugi was awake, and he seemed to remember. Too bad it wasn’t vodka he’d been drinking.

       Sometimes, life happened just how you wanted it to- The plans all fell into place, people arrived when you needed them to. Like domino’s, perfectly aligned, everything would fall neatly i n t o ( p l a c e ) . . . A place for everything and everything in it’s place. Sometimes? Life just did exactly what you wanted.

       Today? Life basically said no.

       Today had started with Tsubaki, in a fox form, winding up d a s h i n g straight into the “ c o w b o y “. Literally. Running straight into him. It was strange, but that part wasn’t the unreasonable part- Mikuni had never seen him in his fox form. And it wasn’t like he was going to name him or an item, right? So, it shouldn’t be a problem... He, from what he’d found out, knew more about vampires then most. So? It probably wasn’t going to haphazard around small black animals, neh?

      Or so he thought. “... this is ridiculous.”

      This wasn’t going to be funny. In human form now, with a temp. contract, he couldn’t help but look at the other- All he had done was hand him back something of his own that he’d dropped in his fox form. And, when he’d changed back due to a sudden attack- Well, it wasn’t like he could just ignore it. Shifting to protect himself, not thinking much on the other. All the other had done? Was speak his name: Tsubaki. Clearly, this would be that one, unfortunate, moment were someone actually k n e w his goddamned name. “... and not in the funny way.”

     He was pretty sure he’d just seen the glowing rings that indicated a possible contract. . . . well: As long as he didn’t end up drinking the others blood, this shouldn’t be a problem. ( He wasn’t exactly looking to have an EVE. So? . . . yeah. A contract would just be a hindrance. )

      Presents. What a bothersome ritual- But? Luckily, his Eve had made sure he was prepared for this annoyance. With that, heavy sighs first and foremost, Kuro reaches for the small decorated bag of cookies. It wasn’t much, but? To make sure it was a present from him and not Mahiru- His eve had made sure he’d help participate in making them. ( He’d been f o r c e d but... it still counted? Right? ... maybe. )

      “... you’re rich. So? Homemade is best for people like you, right?”

      I mean, what else could he honestly do for the Alicein boy? Anything he honestly needed, he could get himself. Meanwhile, the servamp couldn’t help but wonder why someone like him needed presents in the first place.
