Hey friends! 

Since not everyone can afford to buy merch through Friends of Friends, I figured we should all have a direct link to the charity organization so that you can still have an impact or help the cause in a way that is affordable for you. 

This is just the first charity they’ve chosen, and I hope that they continue to be transparent in the future orgs. they choose so we can continue to have a direct impact alongside theirs. And hopefully as FoF grows (if it does, we shall see) this list will grow as well. 

Safe Place for Youth is an organization in LA that provides resources for homeless youth, including jobs and temporary homes through a host home program. You can choose to do a simple monetary donation or send an in-kind donation from the list they provide! There are also many opportunities to volunteer for the people that can!

“S.P.Y.” Premieres at the 1st Annual Scavant-Garde Film Festival

SATURDAY EDITION

On Friday night at 7 p.m., teams from across the campus came together at Ida Noyes Cloister Club for the first-ever Scavant-Garde Film Festival.

Burton Judson’s “S.P.Y.” premiered alongside other buzzworthy films this year, including “Citizen Quack” and “Breakcest at Tiffin’s.” 

The festival was unique in format: each screenplay ended with the line each team supplied on its Scav registration form, and then were randomly assigned the final line of another team’s film to be used as the opening line of their own, which led to much blooming of creativity. It was an experiential work of true art.

BJ’s “S.P.Y.” had the honor of being nominated for two Silver Scavvies. The film was nominated for Best Dramatic Performance (for Lieutenant Lynneah) and Best Soundtrack.
