It was somewhat eerie walking through the empty corridors. Past lockers and the big glass facade. If she remembered correctly she had to go all the way to the end. After taking a glance on her phone display to confirm she wasn't too early - in fact, she was quite in time - she quickened her pace and eventually came to an halt outside room 505. Muffled voices and some bum notes being heard from inside. With an exhausted sigh from the long walk, she propped her back against the wall next to the door. It wasn't even that warm outside, but walking twenty minutes in the sun were enough to warm her up enough to the point she was almost sweating.
Her brown irises wandered to the glass facade then. Leaves were dancing in the subtle spring breeze. It was a nice day indeed. Thankfully. The past weeks, or rather months, had been dreadfully grey and depressing after all.
Suddenly another thought crossed her mind. Perhaps waiting for him inside the building had been a bad idea after all. Maybe she should've rather waited outside for him. Before she could even make a move to leave though, the bell rang loudly above her. Shifting, voices and steps rising inside. Coming closer when the door was pushed open with a swift move, almost hitting her as she was standing right behind it.
Teenagers were rushing out, not noticing her as they all seemed in a hurry to finally leave. It was most likely their last class of the day as well and obviously they didn't want to stay in the building longer than necessary. Especially since it was friday.
Some were carrying smaller, some bigger instrument cases and Cassandra couldn't help but remember the torture that it had been to carry her cello home back in middle school, when there wasn't her or her friend's dad to drive her home. She shuddered at that memory. When it seemed that no one else was coming out and that all pupils had left, she came forth and opened the door carefully again. Seeing Taehyung's tall figure standing at the piano on the auditorium's small stage. He was gathering some sheets and hadn't noticed her entering, his broad back facing her.
"Ready?" she smirked as the door closed behind her with a thud. Startling him a little and he looked over his shoulder, taking a quick look at her. A smile tucking in the corner of his lips when seeing her standing there in her plaid coat and beret, going back to organising his sheets then.
"Just a minute."
"Hm, alright." She walked closer to the stage. Hands folded behind her back as she tilted her head at him. "What you doing?"
"Just collecting the musical sheets from today's class," he explained while stuffing the small pile into his briefcase. Cassandra pursed her lips and sat down at the edge of the stage. Bending her legs, she swang around and got up on it, walking up to him at the piano. She peaked from behind him, reading the notes in his hands. "'Chanson Triste" by Tchaikovsky' -oh, I like Tchaikovsky!"
Her sudden exclaimation made him chuckle. "I know.."
"What does that mean?"
"Huh. What?"
"This here." She pointed at the words beneath the title. "'Allegro non troppo' - it's italian, but what does it mean?"
"It basically means 'fast, but not too fast'. It's a term used to tell the piece's tempo. So you know how fast you should play it."
She hummed and went beside him, snorting then. "'Fast but not too fast' is quite a vague definition though.. How do you know if it's too fast or not?"
"That's why metronoms exist," he explained with a smirk to which her lips shaped an understanding 'o'. Watching him grabbing his violin case that was leaned against the piano. "They give the tempo and we just follow."
"I see.."
"Anyway, I'm ready. Let's g-"
"No, wait," she cut him off. Now standing between him and the piano with steady eyes and a smile. His brow arched and he was about to ask when her lips parted. "Tae, say.." Her voice was soft as her eyes shyly looked away. That innocent look on her face. He knew it too well. She wanted something.
He watched her taking a step back then, her thighs pressing down some piano keys, creating an unpleasant sound. "Would you play it for me? That piece?"
"Cas, no," he chuckled, "We're gonna be late. Let's pick up the girls and -"
"Please."He wanted to groan and object but then again, they still had some time until meeting the others. And it wasn't even like they knew the reason they were gathering anyway. Yoongi had just asked them in their groupchat to come to this restaurant. Soyeon wouldn't tell them the reason either when asked, leaving everyone confused and curious. Although Namjoon had speculated it could be about Yoongi's birthday a few days ago and since no one could come up with a better reason, they had agreed that must be the occasion.
"Pretty please. Only once," Cassandra continued her plead as she didn't get any reaction out of his straight face. Even adding a cute pout when her index finger began slowly sliding up his firm chest. "It's not like I often get the chance to hear you play live." Her hand eventually flattening on it, travelling further up. Her touch making him internally gulp as he subconsciously leaned into it more. His brown eyes following her every move, softening. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she brought him closer to her them. Giving him a sly smirk. "Don't pretend you wouldn't like showing off your skills to me," she whispered. Taehyung couldn't help but bite back a laugh at her. She got a point after all.
A deep sigh escaped his lips then and he dramatically rolled his eyes. He knew it wasn't that big of a deal, it was a rather short piece after all. However, whenever he was near an instrument she'd always request him to play her something. Getting all excited like a little child. And maybe he liked teasing her a little about it. "Fine. But only once. No encore."
She nodded vigorously and pecked his lips. Grinning satisfied then. He stepped away from her embrace to grab his violin out of the case. Attuning it before positioning the instrument between his shoulder and cheek. Placing the bow on the strings while the fingers of his other hand pressed on the fingerboard. Cassandra loved watching him play one of his instruments. It was a rare sight as he mostly only played them in school, not wanting to disturb their neighbours. Hence why she had been so persistent.
She took a seat on the piano stool then, waiting for him to begin. However, he was hesitating stroking the bow. Peeking at her with a faint smile. "You know, I always get so nervous playing in front of you," he admitted, chuckling quietly. Taking her by surprise. She was about to object, arguing what nonsense that was, before pressing her lips together. Forming a straight line for a moment. "It's okay. I.. I'm always quite flustered when you watch me draw as well."
He blinked, his face turning into a small frown. "I didn't know you didn't like it. You should've told me. I like your drawings, that's why-"
"No, no," she shook her head with a smile, "It's okay really. The fact you like my drawings feeds my ego." She laughed then, causing him to laugh in relief as well. "I just wanted to say, I get it , okay? So just ignore my presence."
Ignore your presence.. he laughed to himself while repositioning the bow on the strings. How, when you look at me like that? And she observed him beginning to stroke the violin's delicate strings. Playing the first notes of the composition.
And she watched quietly in awe, enjoying her own little private concert.

"Ah, I'm so full now. I can't walk," Jimin contently sighed and patted his belly over his thick puffer coat. Adding in a whiny tone, "I think I ate too much. The buttons are barely holding. I can feel it." The cold almost-spring wind of the night hitting his cheek as he held the door open for them to follow.
Namjoon exhaled, chuckling. "Same here. I shouldn't have eaten so much."
"The food was really delicious though. Can't believe I ate so much."
"It was just once anyway. It's alright, when do we ever eat this much?" the older guy tried to reason. Making himself feel better as well.
"You sure it's not just the drinks you've had," Taehyung mumbled teasingly, earning a shrug from his friends.
"Perhaps both, but it's okay! There was reason to celebrate after all."
"Yeah, who would've thought," Namjoon nodded and unintentionally got in the front of the line as they made their way to the parking behing the restaurant building. Leading them with big steps.
"Wasn't it expected though?" Jimin intervened, "At least I saw it coming."
Taehyung huffed at his confidence. "As if, don't pretend. None of us did."
"I.. I kinda did.." They briefly turned to Cassandra behind them who was struggling keeping pace with them. "I mean, it was rather a feeling."
"Soyeon told you, didn't she? I bet she couldn't contain her excitement after all."
She quickly shook her head though. "No, she didn't! I swear," she said sternly, shoving her freezing hands deeper into her coat's pockets. "It was simply a feeling. Call it my sixth sense," she smirked then to what Jimin simply laughed out. Remaining sceptical, although she was telling the truth.
She indeed hadn't known about Yoongi spontaneously proposing to Soyeon on his birthday. And yet, it hadn't come as a surprise to her. "They're quite a long time together," Namjoon nodded then, "So perhaps you're right, Cas. We should've seen it coming."
"It's only four years though," Jimin said then, "I know people who're dating even longer and are still not enganged."
"True, my friend and her boyfriend are together since high school and still not married. But they're planning to," she agreed, "Then again, others are dating only for a year and get engaged. It simply depends."
"Yeah," Jimin breathed, arching a brow at Taehyung who had become awfully quiet in their little discussion, "Some get married after a year and others don't even have the guts to propose after three." Taehyung's eyes, which were glued to the asphalt, widened at this last statement. Contrary to the others, getting the hint and so he furrowed his brows at Jimin who was simply giving him a wide, devilish grin. Both of them not realising their steps becoming slower during their little stare-off. Leaving Namjoon and Cassandra continue walking alone towards the cars. Not noticing their absence as she started complaining about the tall guy soon obtaining his driver's licence as well, leaving her to be the only one in the whole group without one. To which Namjoon simply laughed and apologised, before his phone dropped from his pocket and they searched for it in the shadows."So.. did you buy it?" Jimin inquired with a curious look. "I mean the ring, if you didn't get it."
Taehyung clicked his tongue, his eyes shooting him an annoyed glance. "I know what you mean," he quietly snapped then, afraid she might overhear anything, "And yes, I did."
"The blue one?"
"Yes."
Jimin frowned puzzled. "Why blue though?"
"Because.." His gaze wandered to Cassandra who was leant against their car and laughing at something Namjoon had told her. "Because blue is her colour. And sapphires are much rarer than diamonds anyway. Did you know? Diamonds are actually quite common." And he wouldn't have beared buying her something clear and common. "Besides, it does have diamonds on it. They're just smaller around it."
Jimin hummed before breaking into a wide smile. "You know her better than I do, so if you think she'll like it, it was surely the right one to get." He patted his shoulder quite violently then, causing Taehyung to flinch. "So now all that remains is you to finally pop the question."
"We'll see.."
"What do you mean 'we'll see'?" Jimin repeated confused, using air quotes, "You'll obviously do it. You love her after all."
"Of course I do," Taehyung said, his tone annoyed. "It's just that.." The coldness of the night made his lips dry and he had to lick over them several times. His glance fell on the ground eventually and his voice became deeper. "What if she doesn't -"
"Seriously?" his friend groaned. Loud enough to also catch the other two's attention for a moment before they went back to discussing an artist Cassandra had recommended Namjoon. "Are you serious now?" Jimin said then in a more hushed tone. "Just ask her the damn question. I'll guarantee you she'll accept."
"Very h-"
Before Taehyung could even retort anything sarcastic, Jimin interrupted him by turning around and waving him off. Already getting tired by this conversation. "Just call it a sixth sense," he chuckled then and walked towards the others who were still preoccupied by their little art talk. Leaving Taehyung back, dumbfounded.
"Finally, what did you guys have to discuss all of the sudden?" Namjoon curiously asked when noticing Jimin standing beside them. Watching him simply shrug. "Nothing too important," he lied and looked over his shoulder. Seeing Taehyung approaching them.
"Are you sure you don't want us to drive you home," Cassandra asked then. Pushing herself off the car. "We're bringing Joon home after all. It wouldn't be a problem."
"Nah, it's fine," he smiled and propped his elbow on her shoulder, "I already asked Hobi. He's driving Jungkookie home and it's closer to mine than Namjoonie's. I don't want you guys making a detour for me."
She hummed, understanding. "Where are Hobi and Kookie anyway?"
"Pretty sure they'll come any minute. They just wanted to go to the restroom and bid the others goodbye." And indeed, their sillhouettes appeared around the corner just as Jimin had answered her question. Jimin wished them goodnight before rushing to them. Taehyung exhaling in relief when watching him doing so, fishing out his keys then to unlock the car. Cassandra and Namjoon immediately getting inside the warm vehicle. He was about to follow when he noticed one of his shoelaces being untied. So he stopped in his tracks to kneel down and tie it. The sound of the car door opening again breaking the silence then.
"Tae?" Cassandra called out, soon appearing in front of him. She had been wondering where he had disappeared to, not having noticed him down there. "Tae? Whe-" She cut herself off when spotting him kneeling. "What are you-" Her brows rose and she froze for a moment until she watched him stand up straight again. "What?" he asked with furrowed brows. Smoothing out the streaks of hair that had fallen in front of his eyes.
"Oh.. n-nothing," she quickly said, flustered. Feeling her cheeks getting a darker shade of pink as she tucked a curl behind her ear. "It's cold. Get in so we can go home."
Taehyung continued frowning though, ignoring the night breeze tousling their hair. Getting suspicious of her voice's tone and the way her warm eyes would avoid his. "You sure?"
"Yeah. Just get in, okay?" However, he slowly began to put one and one together. Chuckling amused. "Did you think I'd -"
"Shut up!" she whined embarrassed. Causing his chuckle to grow louder.
"I wouldn't have done it like that, dummy," he grinned then, seeing her lips parting. Seemingly taken aback by what he was possibly implying. And he could swear there was a smile ghosting over her lips a moment later. "G-good to know," she eventually nodded and quickly opened the car door to climb back in. Feeling her cheeks burning by now despite the coldness outside.
And Taehyung's grin turned into a soft smile.
Perhaps Jimin's sixth sense was right after all.

"My brain's melting," Cassandra mumbled as she laid her head on the table. A soft groan escaping her lips when feeling Taehyung poking her scalp with his pen.
"Told you, you don't have to help me," he said. Peeking at her with a soft smile before redirecting his concentration to the tests in front of him.
"No, no, it's alright," she sighed and sat up straight again. Picking up her pen and the correction sheet with all the answers to the questions. Continuing where she had left.
"10) Name four examples of perfect consonances."
"You sure?" He arched a brow at her. A glimpse of worry in his warm eyes. Observing her eyes scimming over the answers and ticking the correct ones. "You really don't have to help me."
Cassandra nodded vigorously though. She was determined now. She wanted to finish her pile, simply not being the type to leave something unfinished -unless it was a really bad ending to an otherwise great story. "It's alright," she said with an ensuring smile, showing off her teeth for extra emphasis. "There aren't many tests left and this way you'll finish much faster." She paused, before mumbling under her breath, "And this way we can watch the film."
He snorted, shaking his head amused. He appreciated her help in correcting the pile of tests all afternoon. He really did. After all it was two different ones, one from the eighth graders and one from the ninth graders. So over fourty tests in total. And she had noticed his distress when meeting him at the nursery earlier and offered her help without thinking twice. He assumed she was regretting this by now and simply didn't want to admit it. But even if so, he still appreciated it. This was one of the reasons he loved her after all. That she always cared for others and wanted to help them. "What film is it anyway?" he asked then. Putting his signature under a finished test sheet before picking up the next one.
"Hm, not sure myself," she said when handing the test sheet she had been correcting for him to sign. "It's from the '80s I think and by Scorcese."
"Scorcese," he repeated with a hum, putting his signature under her test. He didn't really need to have a look-over. She had the sheet with all the right answers after all and he saw her double-checking everything before ticking anything, so he trusted her. "So is it a thriller?"
She shook her head as she picked her penultimate test. "I don't think so. The plot sounded rather weird and.. funny?" His thick brows rose, nodding understandingly.
Cassandra giggled then as she encircled a wrong answer. "I swear, after correcting for two hours I can answer you every question by heart," she grinned smugly at him. Holding her chin up.
"Oh really?" he laughed out and picked the piece of paper from in front of her. He cleared his throat theatrically then as his eyes tried to settle on one of the questions.
"Alright. Name me perfect dissonances."
Her forehead creased as she carefully brooded over it. Trying remembering them. "One was 'tritones'?"
"Is that an answer or a question?" he smirked. Making her scoff audibly. "Really?" she grimaced, "You use these old tricks? Teachers used to say this back in my school days."
He furrowed his brows. "You make it sound like your school days were thirty years ago," he teased. "Are you that old?"
For a moment she just stared at him dead in the eye before dismissing his last statement completely. "Anyway, 'tritones' is surely one."
"Correct," he nodded, "And which others?"
She hummed in concentration, tapping her finger at the table. "Minor seconds.. and.."
His eyes widened, being genuinely surprised she actually got another one right. However, she seemed to struggle remembering the last one. A stern expression on her squinted eyes.
"Ma-"
"No, don't help me," she interrupted him sternly, "I'll remember it on my own." He pursed his lips and nodded. Finding her stubborness quite cute sometimes. "Major.." He nodded, encouraging her. "Major siii-" She glanced at him as she dragged the 'i', unsure of her answer she hoped to find approval in his face. But his eyes twitched a little so she quickly changed her answer. "Seventh. Major seventh!"
He exhaled, nodding in relief. "Impressive. You remember them. But do you know what they mean?" She huffed before breaking into a giggle. "Obviously not!" Her retort making him laugh. She even made correcting tests entertaining.
As they went back to correcting in silence, Cassandra couldn't help but peek at him. Silently admiring the expression on his focused face. Tongue sticking out between his lips a little and dark brows narrowed as he ticked several correct answers.
"Tae?"
He hummed, not averting his eyes from the test sheet.
"Would you ever play me something on one of your instruments?"
The pen paused from moving over the piece of paper and he looked up. Meeting her inquiring eyes. "You mean a song?"
She smiled. "Yes, obviously."
He contemplated for a moment, scratching his head with the pen in his hand. "Hm, alright," he nodded then, "And which one?"
"I don't know. Which ones can you play?"
"Many," grinned cockily.
"Well, just play me whichever one you like best," she suggested as she handed him the last test from her pile. And he agreed as he put his signature on it, much to her delight. However, Isavella's whimpering from across the room quickly distracted her from her little victory of being the first one to finish with the tests.
"I'll feed her quickly while you finish your pile," she mumbled then with a sigh and pushed the chair back. Hurrying to her daughter who was sitting with Ari and her toys in the playpen. She heaved her in her arms when her eyes fell on Ari. Noticing the older girl chewing on her blue-beeded bracelet. "Should I feed Ari, too?" she asked then and turned to Taehyung. "I think she might be hungry, too."
"If you think you can handle both," he nodded as he crossed out something in red, "Otherwise I'll do it in a few. Almost done here."
"No, it's alright," she assured him. And after preparing the babie's food, she sat them both on the couch with their bibs around their necks and two plastic baby spoons in her hand. Taking turns in shoving a spoonful of pulp into their mouths.
As she cleaned Isavella's mouth with the spoon, her eyes wandered outside for a moment. Noticing the sun setting earlier than it used to a week ago, bathing the leaves outside in a darker shade. Theit green colour fading, turning into orange and gold instead. The temperature had also dropped by now. Autumn had arrived. She heaved a short laugh then, focusing back on feeding the babies in front of her. Ari was toying with her bib, almost taking it off.
"What's so funny?" she heard Taehyung ask from across the room. Catching her attention. He had still not finished with his pile, though it seemed he was on the last test by now.
"Today is the 14th, right?"
"Hm I think." He circled a wrong answer before summing up the total points and signing it. "Why? Is today a special day?"
"No, not really," she shrugged as she wiped a piece of carrot from Isavella's chin. "I just realised we're together for a month now."
His brows rose. "Oh, is that so?" She hummed in response with a smile as she gave Ari the last bit of her food. "So it's our one-month-anniversary.. Should we celebrate it?"
Cassandra laughed out, shaking her head. "We ain't teenies anymore. We don't have to celebrate each month."
She watched him push back his chair, stretching his arms over his head while a soft moan escaped his lips at the feel of his cramped muscles. His shirt got slightly lifted on the side. Revealing the smooth skin of his hip and belly and she had to bite down her lip at this sight. Almost hard enough to make her taste blood. Him moving his head from side to side and rubbing the back of his stiff neck, tousling his dark waves, not making it any better.
"I feel like we should still do something special tonight." He gave her one of his boyish grins, one he knew she couldn't resist. And he was right when seeing her giving him a cocky smile. Folding her arms. "Fine, but what's the plan? We got the girls after all, so we can't just go out."
"We don't have to go out," he shrugged nonchalantly. "As soon as they're asleep we're gonna do everything people would do when going out, just here inside."
First she gave him a sceptical look, however she nodded enthusiastically soon after. Too intrigued by his proposal. "Cinema, food, wine and.."
"And we'll see what else," he said, wiggling his brows in a tempting way. Only adding to her enthusiasm. And she laughed. "Alright, I'm in."

The film had ended quite some time ago. And it had been just like Cassandra had described it. Weird and oddly funny. Difficult to describe exactly, however, both agreed that they liked it. Though wouldn't necessarily watch it again. Still, it had been entertaining and good enough to call the 'cinema'-part of their date night a success.
And after ordering her favourite pizza and eating it while seated on large cushions on the floor of the dim-lit living room, also succeeding the food-part, they had now entered the wine-part. Cassandra could already feel her cheeks heating up from the alcohol in her system. Even if it had only been two glasses. She was a quite light drinker and Taehyung knew. Finding her giggly self quite amusing as he took another sip from his own glass.
"You know what?" Cassandra grinned lazily at him. Wrapping her arms around his neck as she slid onto his lap. Trying her best to keep her eyes wide open. "This was great! We should be like teenagers and celebrate our anniversary every month!" Her declaraction made him chuckle. Especially since he could smell the sweet red wine in her breath and see the pinkish tint on her cheeks. "Oh, aren't our regular dates good enough?" he teased. His hands on her waist to keep her steady.
She frowned, smacking his shoulder lightly. "Of course they are!" She didn't even notice her voice raising in her mildly intoxicated state and he had to press a finger on her lips to sush her. "Not so loud," he whispered as he brushed a strand of hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear, "Might wake up the girls." And he quickly pecked her lips before she could react. Feeling her relax in his arms. Humming against his lips. Both their mouths tasted like pizza and red wine, the best combination ever, in Cassandra's opinion.
He pulled back. Her face beaming as she slowly opened her tired eyes. Truth was, her face was always beaming after a kiss and he loved the sight of it. Especially when she was this close to him, with her chest rising against his and her legs either side of him.
"You know what people also do on dates?" Her lips spread into a wide smile. Lips in a deep red from the liquor. She left his embrace and got up. Getting a little dizzy for a second, she tried to regain her balance and picked up the phone on the table. Trying and failing twice to enter the right code, eventually succeeding in her third attempt. He observed her with raised brows, getting curious. Her eyes furrowed as she was searching for something. He was about to offer his help in whatever her plan was when a melody started playing. And he watched her smile contently, leaving the device on the table again. Her mouth curved into a charming smile as she held her hand out for him to take, wiggling her fingers. "May I have this dance?"
He cocked a brow at her, mesmerised and a little worried about her tipsy state. He accepted her stretched out hand nonetheless though. Pulling himself up with an enamoured smirk.
The air felt thicker somehow and she stumbled forward into his arms. "Is this also on your list of things you wanna do with your boyfriend? Proper slow dancing?"
Cassandra laughed under her breath, biting her lips then. "Perhaps, yes," she breathed as she clasped her fingers around his. The warmth of his fingertips spreading through her in addition to the alcohol, which was slowly subsiding by now. Taehyung performed an elaborate mock bow to invite her in and she laughed carelessly as he spun her towards him.
Pulling her closer in a swift move, reluctant to move too fast in case it made her giddy. He slowly dragged her backwards with him then, deep brown eyes locked with hers, their hands still tightly clasped together as his other hand wandered to the small of her back. Covered by her long curls.
After a moment or two of stiffness, Cassandra relaxed and placed her other hand on his shoulder. He stepped forward then, his puffed out chest touching hers and they began to dance clumsily. Swaying from one side to the other, completely out of time. Mainly because of her, her feet struggling to keep up. The sound of her giggles making him giggle, too. However, they soon faded and in a moment of soberness, she pressed herself against him. Holding on as tightly as she could. Slowly getting drunk again, by the smell of him and the way his hands felt on her body. Her fingers gliding to stroke the soft hair at the nape of his neck. And Taehyung was trying his best to keep an unfazed face, knowing he'd sooner or later give into her touch anyway. A warm smile ghosting over his lips as his eyes laid on hers.
She rested her head on his chest then, feeling her eyes closing. Not because of the wine, though, it was already wearing off by now after all. No, she was simply taking in this moment. Enjoying it and saving the memory of that feeling deep inside her mind.
As they swayed together silently for the remainder of the song, he placed his forehead against her temple. The melody eventually coming to an end, making them slow down.
Cassandra turned her face to find his eyes again and he did the same. His nose nudging hers. The floral scent of her filling it. Her delicate fingers still rested on the back of his neck and Taehyung wondered if she could feel his pulse there when their lips brushed agaisnt each others. And she kissed him.
She wasn't sure when exactly she ended up laying on the couch with him on top of her. She wasn't even sure if time passed at this point. All she was aware of were his soft lips moving against hers and her chest colliding with his.
Only when a faint crying was heard he pulled away and she was brought back to reality. His waves brushing over her forehead as he lifted his face from hers. And he grinned at her, like a child, trying catching his breath. "I think it's Ari."
Breathless herself, she stared at him puzzled. As if she didn't understand any word coming from his mouth. Her brain processing everything still. "Huh?"
His hands left her cheek and waist and he stood up. A cold spot on her warm skin. And an apologetic look on his face. "Ari, I think she woke up."
"Ohh, yes sure. I didn't even notice." She laughed out then, before flashing him a smug smirk. "But you can't just kiss me like that, you know? Like you'd be drowning and I'm oxygen, only to suddenly back out and leave me wanting for more."
His brow arched. "You want more?"
"Not anymore." She huffed jokingly, folding her arms. His smirk growing bigger. He knew she was just pretending. "You sure?" he said then and drew closer. Their lips almost touching again. He was teasing her and in a way, it amused her. She lightly pushed his chest then, making him stumble backwards. "Go already," she giggled, "Ari is waiting."
He nodded. "Give me five minutes."

"Is everything alright?" Cassandra whispered as her head peeked inside the children's room. "Yeah," he nodded as he tugged the blanket over Ari and slowly made his way towards her. "And is Izzy alright, too?"
"Izzy didn't even notice anything," he quietly sniggered and closed the door behind him. "She sleeps like a log."
She nodded, giggling in agreement. "Yeah.. I really don't know where she got that from. But it definitely makes my life easier."
"Be glad," he dramatically sighed then as he rubbed his hands over his tired face, "Ari wakes up from any faint noise. She's hypersensitive when it comes to that."
Cassandra hummed, stroking her boyfriend's back. "That's normal for babies, don't worry." Taehyung pursed his lips, nodding. She was right, it wasn't anything unusual. "It was twenty minutes by the way. Not five," she smirked then.
"Sorry for taking a bit longer," he whispered then. Cassandra turned around, facing him with a smile. And under the dim light of the lamp in the corner he could see her rosy cheeks. "It's okay. Now you're here." Her hands finding their way back around his neck and she gently pulled him towards herself. Making him dip as she got on her tiptoes. The hight difference enough for her lips to reach his. And she pecked them. And again. And again. Until his hands grabbed the back of her head, keeping it in place to prevent her from pulling away. She took his hand in hers then as they continued kissing passionately. Leading him to the bedroom.
In the heat of the moment, however, he didn't pay much attention to his surroundings. His mind solely focused on Cassandra's soft lips moving sloppily against his and his hands around her smaller frame. He didn't notice kicking the door shut behind him with a bit too much force.
The thud following wasn't that loud but it made Cassandra instantly pull away. Panic in her face. His eyes widening in shock as well when he realised the noise could've been loud enough to wake up the girls. Especially Ari. "Did.. did they..?" he asked as he watched her slowly opening the door and going outside of Ari's room. She stayed still for a moment, pressing her ear against the door as she was trying to decipher any whimpering or other noises coming from inside. An intense look on her eyes as she was focusing hard. After a minute, she sighed in relief and he watched her returning to him. Closing the door quietly this time. "We were lucky." A mischievous smile appearing on her features. "Where did we stop?"
He smirked and she brought his face down to hers, capturing his lips as he wrapped his arms around her smaller body. Feeling him smile into the kiss. Slowly then he walked backwards, until feeling the bed frame against the hollow of his knees and sank down onto the mattress with her body following his. Her hands pushing on his broad shoulders as she straddled him. Her body curving into his. Never seperating their lips, even if their breath grew heavy.
Curls sliding to the side as she moved against him, covering their faces like a curtain while she stroke his soft hair tenderly. And Taehyung loved it. The feeling of her delicate fingers burying themselves in his dark waves more. His hands flattened on her thighs, squeezing them lightly before shakily travelling up her hips and sides. Unable to process anything. His mind fogged by the pure sensation of her. He was sure, she didn't even know how infatuating she was. And he grabbed her waist, pushing her lightly and laying her down onto the cool sheets. Cassandra's hands sliding from his hair to his toned chest, down his torso to the hem of his shirt. And as his soft kisses left her swollen lips and went down her jaw, gliding to the crook of her neck, she realised no one had ever really touched her the way Taehyung did, on so many layers.

A faint whimper made Cassandra flinch in her sleep. Slowly she raised her head, only to let it plop down again. Did she dream it? She yawned and rolled to the other side when hearing another one. This time loud and clear. She sat up, the sheet sliding down from her bare chest and she held her head. What time was it even? Her gaze fell onto the empty spot next to her. And she frowned. The last thing she could remember was Taehyung clinging onto her like a koala bear while dozing off. Warm cheek pressed on her chest, allowing her to run her fingers through his waves. Lulling him even more. And eventually, she had fallen asleep herself. Before her mind could even come up with any scenario to where he was, his voice echoed through the hallway behind the closed door. Making her perk up. "Just a moment," he pleaded.
She swung her legs over the bed and got up. Tying her hair that was sticking out in all the wrong directions before getting dressed. She approached the living room with slow steps then. Hearing muffled noises and tiny wails. And she peeked inside, curls falling over shoulder as she tilted her head with a curious look. And indeed, there he was. On the floor, trying assembling the lego house they had got from his parents. Cassandra couldn't help stifling a laugh at his visible struggle building it while keeping Ari and Isavella from taking lego bricks away or dismantling the parts which were already ready. And them mewling when he wouldn't let them play with the clourful plastic bricks. "You need some help?" Her voice seemingly startled him but he still greeted her with a grin when she walked up to them. "No, can't you see? I'm great at multitasking," he said smugly, causing her to giggle. "Obviously," she snorted then and took a seat on the carpet opposite from him. Engulfing Isavella with her arms to keep her from running away with the house's rooftop. "Come, give it to mummy," she cooed and kissed her daughter's cheeks, while tucking at the legos in her small hands. Pulling at it with enough force to get it back, handing it to him. Causing Isavella to frown angrily. "Thanks," he mumbled, putting it back on the top of the unfinished building. A sigh escaping his lips then. "Who ever thought of making legos for two year olds?" "Yeah, I know," Cassandra agreed as Isavella started wiggling her body in an attempt to free herself from her mother's hug, all in vain. So she started whining behind her pacifer. Her longer grown curls bouncing in frustration. Cassandra placed one last peck on her cheek before letting go of her. Seeing the toddler gripping the table and waddling to the box of toys behind Ari, who was peacefully sucking at her baby bottle. "When did you wake up?" she asked then while smiling at Ari's puffy cheeks as she was drinking her milk. "Not too long ago," he mumbled, "Needed to pee and saw them both sitting there in the crib. Just staring at nothing.. It was kinda creepy." He chuckled lightly and whiped a drop of milk off of Ari's chin that he noticed. Focusing back on the little lego kitchen then. "Aw, where you scared of the girls?" "Don't tease me," he pouted, "It looked like a scene from a horror film. And I hate those.." "Aw," she bent over and pinched his cheek. "Taehyungie got scared." "I didn't." He was mildly sulky, making it even more adorable to her. "It's okay. I find it cute." "Oh really?" He arched a brow at her with a sly smirk. "That changes everything then." Shaking her head, she pushed herself up again. Her brain unable to function properly without her cereals. Others needed coffee, she needed food to gain some energy.
"Did you even eat breakfast or did you just instantly start building that?" she called while rummaging in the kitchen cupboard for a bowl. Taehyung only hummed though, not really paying attention to her question as he looked at the instructions. Having trouble finding the right placement for some parts. "Tae?" "Hm, yes what?" He perked up, seeing a bowl in front of his face. "Here, eat," she plainly stated, rising her brows. "You haven't had breakfast yet, have you?" "Uh, no." He took it from her grip and watched her sit down on the couch. Crossing her legs. He smiled at her then, appreciating her thoughtfullness. "Thanks." She only hummed as she took a spoonful of her own cereals. And he joined her on the couch. Both eating in silence while observing the two toddlers in their little corner playing together. It was just like any other weekend, more or less.
However, it was sunday already. Meaning she and Isavella would return to her apartment in the evening. And she loathed it. She knew it was easier for her to get ready for work from there, considering most of her clothes and belongings were in her apartment and also Isavella's, but she'd still prefer simply staying at his. Not only because she was lazy, but also because of him. Obviously they were still seeing each other during weekdays. At the nursery for example or when they went out together. However, it wasn't the same. Not that she was an overly clingy person that needed to constantly be with her boyfriend. She could survive several days without seeing him. And she liked having time for herself and do her own things. But watching videos for an hour was more enjoyable with him sitting across the room playing a videogame, and them afterwards spending time together. It was more enjoyable than watching videos for an hour and then try explaining to a toddler why that new show she had discovered was genius despite also being all over the place. She had already been there and knew from experience. So she despised mondays and longed for the weekened for more reasons than just hating to wake up early and having to socialise. "Tae?" He arched a brow at her, humming. But nothing came from her lips. She knew he was like her in that aspect, liking having time on his own and not pestering each other all the time. So perhaps he preferred it like this. Her lips curled into a rueful smile. "Nothing."

"Where is it?" "Did you look under the bed? In the wardrobe?" "Obviously!" Taehyung came out from the other room. Spotting Cassandra crawling on the floor, looking underneath every furniture in search for that stuffed animal. "Maybe it's at your place after all?" She shook her head, standing up with a frustrated groan escaping her lips. "No, no. She had it in the morning. I brought it with us. It has to be somewhere." She swept the sweat from her forehead, brushing past him and back to the living room where Isavella was. The girl crying as if she was in pain. Big round tears rolling from her red cheeks. "Where is that damn teddy?" Her voice almost cracking at the end when seeing Isavella tripping on her way to her. Fingers reaching out to her and clutching onto the fabric of her pants as her little arms wrapped around her mother's legs. Crying helplessly at the loss of her beloved teddy bear, rambling the words 'mama' and 'tetty' over and over again. And Cassandra pouted, feeling tears forming in the corners of her eyes as well and she picked her up. Rocking her a little to calm her down while whiping away the tears with her thumb. Isavella just wouldn't stop crying over that teddy bear.
"Now that I think about it, I saw it a few hours ago," he said then, walking up to the big wooden drawer at the side. "And I put it here." "Well, it isn't there anymore.." "Weird," Taehyung mumbled, going over all the possible places it could've disappeared at. "Did you look in her bag?" "I looked in every damn corner!" Cassandra accidentally snapped. She didn't want to snap at him. She wasn't upset with him after all. But the constant crying ringing in her ears, Isavella's flushed face, her guilt over not being able finding her stuffed animal and the fact she was running late, were a bit much in that moment. And his constant questions which seemed totally pointless anyway - and implying she hadn't looked everywhere even though she had - got on her already tense nerves. She watched Taehyung stay unbothered though. Only giving her a short glare over his shoulder. "I'm just trying to help," he muttered, taking a look in Isavella's bag. "But you can search for it on your own if you don't want my help." And with that he turned around and walked out of the room with crossed arms. Cassandra dragging a breath. "Tae! Hey, come back! I didn't me-" "Why would I?" "I'm sorry, ok? Come back," she whined. Seeing him reappearing at the doorframe with an arched brow. "You lost that teddy and it's my fault?" Her jaw dropped, speechless. "Are you serious right now?" her voice rose again. "I lost it? You were the one holding it a few hours ago!" "And I put it right there, on top of the drawer," he stated and pointed at the piece of furniture. Unfazed by her irritated tone. "So where did it disappear then?" she inquired in a cocky voice. He only shrugged nonchalantly. "Dunno. Perhaps you took it and don't remember." He shrugged and pushed himself off the doorframe. "And by the way, that yelling might scare others but not me." "I'm not trying to scare you, you idiot. Your stupid theories just irritate me." He cocked his head. A huff coming from his parted lips. "Just stating facts. No theories." Cassandra pressed her jaw together, taking a deep breath. But he wasn't the only stubborn one there.
It didn't happen often that the two quarreled, but when it did, it was like two kids arguing. It was dumb and childish. They realised it afterwards. However, during the argument they'd just keep being short-tempered and persistent. Cassandra raising unintentionally her voice while Taehyung becoming withdrawn and both answering back to each other, none of them wanting to admit they'd be exaggarating or in the wrong. Until one of them, usually her, got tired and just said 'whatever, fine, I don't care', ending it and both becoming sulky and not talking for an hour until one of them, usually him, apologised first. Followed by the other.
She rocked Isavella a bit more before taking one of Ari's animals then and giving it to her. Distracting her a little from the missing teddy bear. At least enough to make those big tears simmer down from rolling over Isavella's flushed cheeks. "Now listen here," she stated then, putting the toddler down next to Ari who was playing with her doll. "You were the last one having that teddy bear." She walked over to him. Pressing her index finger against his chest. "And you are gonna find it. Otherwise -" "Otherwise what?" he challenged. "Otherwise I'll stop coming over," she simply stated with an equally challenging look. Making him huff. "This is so irrational though." "Why? If we weren't going back and forth all the time, I'm sure that damn bear wouldn't have disappeared. It'd have been where it always is." He was about to counter with one of his logical arguments again, when her lips parted again. "And since you don't like my yelling," she said then with a fake look of innocence. "I might go back to my passive aggressive method." Taehyung's eyes rested on her for a moment. A stern expression on his face before his irises flickered behind her to the two girls playing and back to her. He couldn't tell for sure if she meant it or not. He couldn't risk it though. He knew if she actually meant it, she would be capable of ignoring him for a week. Just like she had done with one of her cousins after an argument. Her cousin kind of deserved it though. And maybe he did as well. His features softened then and he sighed. "Okay fine," he gave in, "I'll find that bear. Even if it's the last thing I'll do." He lightly shoved her aside as he got on his knees, looking under the drawer he had put it on. Trying remembering if he had moved it from there in a later moment. He also looked around the area, making sure it hadn't just fallen down. Finding a small figurine on the floor.
His eyes narrowed as he picked it up. He was sure that figurine was on the drawer. Next to where he had placed the bear. He looked around more. Not able spotting anything he got back up, putting the figurine on its original place. He spent another few minutes looking behind shelves and tables when seeing Ari standing up. Supporting herself on the table's edge before walking with small baby steps towards her toy box. She opened her mouth, dropping her binky to the ground. "Teddy," she said then, which Taehyung didn't pay much attention to as he sat on the couch. Head propped on his hands as he was thinking intensely about where that plushie had disappeared to. He did feel extremely bad about losing Isavella's favourite toy after all. Even if she had now calmed down, he didn't want her to cry, it broke his heart. He loved her like his own child. And he liked her and Cassandra staying over at his place. He didn't want to lose that. Although he was still conviced that she had been bluffing. Only when Ari repeated her words, he froze. His mind going blank for a moment. "What?" The little girl was fumbling at something in her toy box, repeating it. "Teddy." His eyes widened and he instantly jumped up. "Cas! Cassandra! Hurry!" He heard her heavy footsteps as she jogged over to him, interrupting her search in the hallway. "What happened? Did you find it?" "No, Ari. It's Ari." She looked at him confused, not understanding what Ari had to do with it. She was about to ask, when seeing the sheer excitement in his face. "She spoke! She said her first word!" Cassandra's eyes widened and her gaze went to Ari who was still fumbling at something. "She did?" It had been quite some time since Isavella had started talking. Not much, just a few baby words, which weren't always comprehensive either. At least to anyone but Cassandra who most of the time understood all the gibberish. However, Ari hadn't started yet. Which didn't have to mean anything bad. Some children started talking later than others. It didn't mean there was anything wrong. And yet, it had concerned Taehyung a little. After all Ari was a few months older than Isavella. And even though everyone and Cassandra and even her aunt, who was a professional, ensured him that this wasn't something to worry about and normal, he was still concerned. She was turning 2.5 year-old soon. Which was the deadline. Anything above would be an issue.
"Teddy." Now Cassandra heard it as well, squealing out of joy as she threw her arms around Taehyung's waist. Hugging him tightly out of her own excitement. She had always been positive about Ari starting to talk sooner or later. Always told her the name of objects whenever she played with the girls in hopes to help her. And now it finally happened. And she knew and felt what a massive weight must've been lifted from her boyfriend's shoulders. She could see it. She always tried to encourage him, knowing it had been hard for him. And now Ari finally spoke. Even if it was this one word. It was a beginning. And just like that they both forgot about their pointless argument. "'Teddy'! She said 'teddy'!" Taehyung exclaimed happily and grinned down at Cassandra whose arms slid away from him. And he walked over to his daughter. Embracing her little body as tight as he could without hurting her, cradling her. "Her first word." Cassandra's simper turned into confusion. "Wait, why is her first word 'teddy' though?" Taehyung paused and looked down at the cheerful toddler. Contemplating for a moment as he only now realised how weird that was. "Maybe she just heard us say it so often?" "Maybe.." She noticed something else then, making her way to them. "What was she trying to pull out there?" She climbed over his long legs which were spread over the carpet and lifted the pillows that were covering the pink toybox for some reason. Revealing what Ari had been fumbling with. The ear of the missing teddy bear. "What the-" "How did that end up here?" Both exchanged a puzzled look before glancing at Ari who was staring at them with big eyes. "Teddy," she said and wiggled out of Taehyung's embrace. Walking back to Isavella who had shoved the stuffed animal her mother had given her to the side and was playing with a big fleece dize. "Teddy," Ari said and grabbed Isavella's arm, tugging at it. Making the younger girl look up. Pure happiness spreading over her small face when spotting her plushie. "Tetty! Tetty find beek!" Taehyung grabbed it out of the box. Handing it over to Isavella with a grin. "Sorry for losing it," he told her and picked her up in his arm. Pecking her nose. "I'll be careful next time." Cassandra's brows furrowed. "How did it get there though? Did you put it in the box?" Shaking his head, he carefully put Isavella back down. "N-no, I didn't." "Weird." "Maybe.. maybe it fell after all. I found the figurine -" He pointed at the wooden figurine on top of the drawer. "On the floor. Maybe the bear pushed it down while falling." "And then what?" He scratched the back of his neck. "And Ari picked it up and put it in her toy box?" Cassandra hummed, looking back at the box and the pillows beside it. "And put the pillows on it?" "Yeah, who knows. Maybe she wanted to hide it." For a moment she remained silent. Musing while observing the two toddlers. Trying interpreting the clues correctly. Eventually shaking her head. "I think she wanted to keep it safe actually," she smiled then. He smiled as well, preferring her interpretation. "Maybe."
Cassandra's eyes fell onto the clock on the wall then. Realising it was quite late now as they had spent all evening looking for the bear. Biting down on her lips, she glanced at him. "It's kinda late. Can we-" "Just stay." His voice was soft. He stood up from the ground then, brushing over his pants and went back to the couch. However, she remained standing there, glued to the spot. Staring at him with inquiring eyes. Unsure whether to say her desire out lout or not. "Tae?" "Cas?" he smiled. Making her smile as well. And all doubts vanished like that when seeing him looking at her like that. All lovingly and amused. "Let's move in together." She watched his warm almond eyes grow wide at her sudden suggestion. Making her slightly panic. "I mean, if you w-" "Okay," he cut her off then with a wide smile. He finally had someone to share experiences like Ari's first words with. And it felt overwhelmingly nice. She might've missed it after all, if it wasn't for the teddy bear. So in a way, he felt less bad about it going missing for a short while. It also made him realise how much he liked her being there. Not that he didn't enjoy her staying over before, but this had only made him realise even more how much it bothered him whenever she left. Or when he was staying over at her place and had to leave. It felt so natural to go to sleep and wake up next to her. To have her keeping him company while he was correcting tests. To tell her directly when something bothered or fascinated him, not having to call her first. To assist her while cooking because he could barely keep himself from setting the kitchen on fire. To cuddle her while watching a film together. To kiss her whenever she pouted cutely when something bothered her. And to simply lay there with her and enjoy one of his vinyls together. "Okay?" "Okay." Her lips tucked into a bright smile. It would save them from always going back and forth every few days. It'd also save them from constantly forgetting or losing stuff while packing and unpacking. But most importantly, she didn't want to leave Taehyung. Not even for a night. "I guess we'd have to look for a bigger apartment then," he said as she took a seat next to him. His tone serious but she could see the grin creeping onto his lips. He was excited. And so was she. "Definitely," she nodded vigorously, "I got lots of stuff." "I know. That's why I said it." She nudged his side, making him chuckle before he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer. "And we need a balcony. For my plants." "Sure." She pursed her lips then, fumbling with her fingers. A shy look on her eyes as her forehead ceased a little. "Are you certain though? I mean, about having me 24/7 around? I know I can be a little straining with my need for tidiness." His brown eyes frowned. Not sure if she was joking or not. Sure, there were small things that bugged him. Like her rolling around endlessly until finally falling asleep. Or her moodiness when being hungry, literally becoming hangry. However, he could live with those, already having got used to them. And her need for tidiness wasn't really considered one of them. "Have you ever looked into your wardrobe? It looks like a bomb exploded in there," he deadpanned making her laugh out. That was unexpected. She caughed then, feeling her cheeks heating from embarrassment. "It's not as bad as whatever you've got going on in yours though," she countered, pointing a finger at him, "And except the occasional, tiny mess in my wardrobe, I keep everything else neat and clean. You can't deny that." "Okay, true," he said and smiled, "But you know, I don't find that tiring. You help me restrain myself from creating a bigger mess than I'd normally do." "You make it sound like you'd be a total slob," she laughed. "You're not that bad." "That's quite a compliment coming from you," he grinned teasingly. "Just saying you aren't the worst one out there." "Then are you certain you can live with me 24/7?" Smiling at his silly question, she cupped his cheek. Caressing it softly. Sure, he did annoy her sometimes. Like when he almost suffocated her in her sleep whenever his pillow slipped from his grip and he used her for a substitute. Or when he took ages to clean up the mess he had created while playing with the girls. However, those were things she enjoyed getting annoyed by. And again, she knew she wasn't easy either. Her eyes fell onto his heart-shaped lips. "Mhm, I'm pretty sure I can." And the deal was sealed, with a kiss.

"Hm, I don't see anything here. Only a large bench an-" Taehyung cut himself off. His lips parting slightly when eventually spotting the painting Cassandra had been talking about. The reason they were there. Or at least one of the reasons. After all it had been him who had asked her out to that place. What better first official date then doing something they were both into? -Besides that he couldn't come up with anything better. "See, told you it was massive." She appeared beside him with a grin when seeing his face. He was in awe. "Come," she said then and walked to the large sitting area right underneath it. Taking a seat then before laying down on the velvet cushion. She gestured for him to join. Taehyung took a brief glance around the empty area. Two other visitors were observing sculptures in the next room. Otherwise there wasn't any other soul there. The perks of going to a museum during a weekday. Nodding, he laid down next to her. Staring with big eyes at the large painting on the ceiling. His brown irises wandering over the different colours and depicted persons. "The twelve Olympian gods," Cassandra explained then and he peeked at her. Seeing her eyes also fixated on it. He nodded then, redirecting his gaze back to it as well. "It's.. impressive," he breathed out, "And much larger than I thought." He chuckled then. "Do you think it'll fall down on us?" She gasped. "Now I do! Thanks!" She giggled, nudging his side, making him chuckle under his breath. He tried recalling all the names of the gods. "Who was that God far left? The one with the hammer?"
"The one with the hammer was Hephaestus," she quietly explained then. Losing herself a little in the big canvas and paint. Eyes gliding over the depicted gods. Trying recognising and remembering them all. "He was the god of blacksmithing and had created many armours and gadgets for other gods and famous heroes. And he was husband of Aphrodite." Taehyung hummed, simply listening to her narration. He liked listening to her explanations over subjects she knew or cared about. "But actually she was in love with Ares, the god of war," she breathed then. Sensing Cassandra's hand next to his, his fingers glided closer to hers. Eventually intertwining them. He did it so nonchalantly, it was as if he had been doing it forever. And she felt her cheeks flushing. Which was ridiculous, she knew. She felt like a teenager when she was an adult who had done far more than just holding hands with him. But still, the fact he could make her feel like this, was quite invirogating. And pure. "You're quite smart," he stated then with a soft expression. "Obviously you are. It's just.. You're also very booksmart." "I'm not that booksmart," she smiled, "I just know a thing or two. Mainly from documentaries." She tilted her head then, resting it on his shoulder. And they stayed like this. Silently viewing the ceiling-covering classical painting. Half-covered mythological entities devided in squares and ovals, which were framed by golden ornaments. And Taehyung felt small for a moment. But then Cassandra shifted next to him and her cheek pressed a little more onto his shoulder. And he smiled to himself, tightening his fingers around hers.
He felt small, but in this silence with her, he also felt at peace.
Time passed and they continued strolling through long corridors with different coloured walls. past numerous art pieces. It was nice not doing this alone for once. And with that airy, babyblue frilly dress and her long curls, Cassandra looked like having escaped an art piece herself. Like coming straight from the painting of fairies or nymphs she was currently viewing. Or so he thought at least while silently watching her. She looked like she belonged there. Among all this art. They walked around a bit more, getting to see everything. Encountering only a handful people through the corridors. They looked like tourists. Taehyung frowned when noticing a guy staring at them when passing by. Or rather her. "People tend to look at you a lot," he stated blandly then. Causing Cassandra to avert her gaze from a sculpture. Her brows raised. "Really? I didn't notice." "I notice it sometimes," he mumbled and licked over his lips. Remembering some other occasions they had been together and people gaping at her. And her being oblivious to it. A stern look appeared on his eyes, even if he tried hiding it. She could tell it was bothering him. She simply shrugged though. "It's probably just my curly hair." "Maybe," he mumbled. "Tae.. are you perhaps a little jealous?" He huffed, looking away. "No, I mean.. You're pretty. Makes sense for everyone to stare at you." She pursed her lips. That was the second time ever he had called her that. "It's okay if you are, as long as you don't make a scene or become a control-freak," she said then unfazed, "I'd also get jealous if some attractive woman looked at you for too long." His eyes widened and the corners of his lips tucked into a smirk. "Oh, so you're the jealous type?" "Yeah, a little," she admitted embarrassed, "But I don't act out on it. As long as you don't give me a reason to." "Same." "Good." "Cassandra?" They stopped in front of a glass facade. "I wouldn't be jealous if you'd be just a random person, you know? I am, because.. because.." He dragged out a sigh. Feeling his chest jittery. He wanted to say it. He really did, but he couldn't. Uncertain if it was the right moment. He regretted not saying it back then, when they had kissed. Days had passed since then after all. "It's okay," she smiled warmly at him. Understanding his struggles. After all she had struggled telling him something as well. She had almost said it once. Thinking about it now, she was glad she hadn't said it then though. "I'm not good in voicing my feelings either." She looked away, feeling her face heating after admitting that. He hadn't realised being tensed up until his shoulders relaxed at her words, slouching them. He wasn't alone on this. "But know that I trust you, okay?" She smiled. "I trust you, too."
Soon they walked out of the building. The museum closing in half an hour. "Oh, the sun is setting," Cassandra noted surprised. "How many hours we've been in there?" "Many apparently," he said, sounding equally surprised. The small garden in front of the museum was bathed in the dim light of the evening sun. The tall ionic columns surrounding it and dividing it from the main street, casting long shadows on the green hedges. Leaving the whole place in a drowsy atmosphere. Cassandra climbed down the stairs and paused in front of a large, wheel-shaped metallic object that was placed in the middle of the area. Observing the slowly disappearing sun from between the columns. "Hey, Tae?" Her voice soft and shy. He stopped beside her with a hum, glancing down at her orange glowing face. He could see the sunset light reflecting in her eyes. Waiting for her to continue. She looked down, before giving him a small smile. "This.. this was a date, right? I mean an actual one." His head tilted, furrowing his brows. "Why are you speaking in past tense? It's not over yet," he smirked, making her perk up. And she couldn't help but grin as well. "Oh, okay. Great. I just wasn't sure if.. nevermind. Where to next?" He thought for a moment, flashing her a boyish grin. "I got two options, you decide." She was seemingly excited to hear that. "Which are?" He held his index finger up. "Number one is a fancy restaurant with great food and great wine." She nodded. "And what's option two?" "Number two," he said while lifting a second finger, "Is grabbing some takeaway and going to a nice place I know."

"Wow, that view is quite.. vertiginous," Cassandra laughed out awkwardly. Unconsciously taking a step back from the cliff. "Are you afraid of heights?" "N-no, it's just.. it's pitch black and looks like a black hole down there," she giggled, feeling embarrassed with herself. "It probably wouldn't be that bad in daylight. But don't worry, I'll get used to it." She gave him a reassuring smile as she leaned against the front of his car and continued eating her instant ramen. Holding the bowl as close as possible to her face. He nodded, not fully convinced though. His eyes wandering at the illuminated skyline of the city. The hill didn't look too high from the bottom. Especially not when driving up there. But once they had reached the top and got out of the car, it was dizzingly high. "Look, somewhere there is the square with the fountain," he pointed out to somewhere right. Trying distracting her mind. "And there further away is the museum we went to." Cassandra stayed quiet, only nodding. To be honest, she couldn't spot any of these places this far in the distance. She simply trusted his words. Finding his enthusiasm adorable. And Taehyung sighed, slurping on his own ramen. "I'm sorry, this must be the worst first date ever." "What? No, why would you think that? It's super beautiful and romantic here," she ensured him. He smiled apologetically. "You're obviously scared. We should go." "No, I'm really not," she vigorously shook her head. "I like it here. You don't get to see a view like this every day." He arched a brow. Trying reading her face in the almost non-existent light. "You sure?" he asked, bending down a little to be able recognising her features. "Yep." He dragged a sigh. "Tell me if not, okay?" She nodded, finding it flattering how much he appeared to worry for this date to go smoothly. "Don't feel bad. I'm genuinely enjoying this. I've always dreamt about going on a night drive with my boyfriend." Her eyes abruptly widened when realising what she had just said. She had called him her boyfriend even though they had never discussed it. It was obvious both of them wanted something serious out of this, but still, they hadn't talked about these labels yet. "I mea-" "Alright noted," he mumbled, nodding to himself, "There will be many more night drives then." And her face lit up.
He was her boyfriend. And she was his girlfriend.
"How did you find this place, by the way?" she asked then in an attempt to change topics. Her eyes in a frown as they desperately fixated on the ramen. She was trying fishing the last noodles out with her chopsticks. Praying she wouldn't embarrass herself in front of him now. "Me and Namjoonie discovered it some years ago," he explained then while finishing his own food. Putting the paper container on the car behind him. "We had lost a bet with the others and had to climb up here early in the morning. As a penalty." Cassandra laughed out at this, making him laugh as well. "Guys surely have some odd ideas, coming up with things like this," she giggled amused. "What was the bet about?" "Can't remember," he shrugged, "Not even sure it was one. Maybe it was a game we lost." "Well, at least something good came out of this loss. I like this place a lot. It's great for stargazing," she smiled and turned her head away from the city lights. Towards the dark mountain behind them. The nigh sky above it much clearer, she could even recognise some constellations. And Taehyung nodded. She always tried to find something positive in everything and he loved that character trait of hers.
By now, Cassandra had somehow managed finishing out the last noodles. Putting the empty container next to his before grabbing the plastic bag with all the snacks they had bought, rummaging until finding her mini chocolate cookies. She ripped it open, plopping a few into her mouth and started munching on them happily. Holding the bag out for him. "You want some?" He shook his head, amused. "I'm good." He tried suppressing a laugh then, pursing his lips. Making her frown. "What's so funny?" "First of all," he coughed then, calming himself down, "You got chocolate around your mouth, like a kid," he teased. Wiping the brown dot away from the corner of her lips with his thumb. And Cassandra had to hold her breath for a moment. "And second of all, why are you holding the bag so close to your face? And the ramen earlier, too?" "Not to stain my dress, obviously," she huffed, before mumbling, "It's my favourite one after all.." "Oh, your favourite one?" "Yes, my favourite one." "Extra for this date?" A cocky smirk spread over his heart-shaped lips. And she tried her best to make it seem like no big deal. "Yeah, sure." "Aw. You wanted to look good for me?" "I mean, it is a date after all. Our first one, even. Doesn't it make sense then?" "Hm, guess so," he mumbled, scratching his head before a lopsided smile tucked on his lips. "You know, that's one of my favourite outfits, too." He looked down and tugged at his dusky pink, almost beige shirt and she perked up. "I like this shirt," she nodded then and gently grabbed its collar, adjusting and smoothing it out. Taehyung inhaled deeply, observing her with a fond look.
"I know we're both reading the same book," she said then and let go. Her forehead creased as she seemed to be in deep thoughts before continuing. "But I'm not sure if we're on the same chapter." She smiled weakly, glancing at his striking features in the dark. He was quietly listening to her. His mind unreadable for her with his soft expression, as usual. "It's okay, though, maybe I'm just a few chapters ahead." Taehyung remained silent. Puzzled about her metaphor in a way and he scrunched up his face. "What makes you think we wouldn't be on the same chapter?" he eventually spoke up then. She pursed her lips as she shrugged. "I simply assumed." He studied her for a moment. Again, she confused him. One minute she was full of confidence and the next she acted so insecure. Like when that whole mess after the kiss had happened. When it came to him, she became insecure. And he knew it was partially his fault. Because he might not be as expressive for her to notice and also needed longer than others. Still, he didn't want her to be insecure about his feelings for her. "We're on the same one," he said in a stern voice. Making her giggle. "How do you know?" "Mhh, I simply assumed," he countered smugly. And she audibly huffed. "You sound so full of yourself," she laughed out amused. "How can you be so sure?" "Well," he slowly began then, "I know what I feel for you. And from the way you treat me, I can tell it must be the same." "You can't be so sure though. It might be a misconception," she smirked playfully. He heaved a sigh before laughing shortly. "There's only one way to find out. We have to say it out loud. Simultaneously maybe? To make it easier." She pouted for a moment before giving in. "Fine. Let's count down." "Three." She took a deep breath. "Two." "One." Both pursed their lips, eyes locked with each other before bursting out laughing. "No, that's not gonna work either," she sighed and averted her gaze from him. Wandering over the colourful sea of lights in the distance. And Taehyung observed her quietly. There was a glimpse of disappointment on her soft features. Almost melancholic. Making him wonder if she was sad in neither one of them had the guts to say it out loud. And although there was a small amount of insecurity lying inside him, as well, he wanted to change the expression on her face. Maybe it was too early. However, considering everything they had been through together in those seven months, maybe it wasn't too early after all. Especially if those were his true feelings for her.
"I love you."
It flowed so naturally from his lips. Like it was the easiest thing to say. And maybe it was after all. And indeed, the expression on her face changed. Her eyes widened and she gave him what was probably the most beautiful smile he had ever seen. "And I love you." And they smiled at each other, like two idiots in love. Cassandra got on her tiptoes then, sneaking her arms around his neck to make him stoop to her level. And he did so, following her moves. His hands finding their way around her waist. "It's getting a bit cold out here with the dress," she whispered then. Eyes flickening between his lips and eyes with an alluring sparkle. "And there's another thing I always wanted to try with my boyfriend." Mischief was written all over her face and Taehyung's mouth twitched, smirking. Understanding what her eyes were trying to tell him.
"We should get in the car then. Can't risk you catching a cold."
