Y'all ever think about how much Dean wanted Ben to be his biological son & then when Lisa broke the news that Ben isn't, Dean was like “you got a great kid. I would've been proud to be his dad” & then post-Sam being lost to Lucifer's Cage, he finally got to taste what it's like to live a normal apple pie life with Lisa & Ben - for only a year mind you - only for that to be ripped away from him by him having to ask Cass to wipe their memories of him because just being associated with him as a hunter was endangering their livelihoods.

Yeah, I think about this a lot & I hate the writers for this canon because it's possible to explore the depths of his want to be a dad & having his own family without having to torture him this way but that's basically every character in spn🚬
