So after watching the S4P2 trailer my anime-only friends (both online and in-person) are getting...rather ecstatic about that shot of Gabi in the Titan's mouth thinking she's gonna be eaten. Should I tell them it's just Pieck's Cart Titan Savin Gabi and spare them the disappointment, or let it play out at the risk of them raging at Isayama or some shit like that?

That is to say, letting them be disappointed they won't see what they think they'll see now, vs. watching P2 for those kind of scenes that won't actually happen and have them feeling bitter about not enjoying what they watched?

The trailer has awakened me from the dead. Look, the only reason most of us have anime only friends is so that we can bait them with half truths and red herrings and mostly to enjoy their reactions to things we already know about. Do not ruin that for yourself!! Keep quiet, let it play out, and enjoy their reaction whether positive or negative when it's a total surprise. And who knows, maybe the developments in the anime will hit them differently than it did you. If they hate it, you'll have a rage buddy. No need to bother Isayama.
