I felt this same type of emotion when they finally gave us toddlers:

It only took them 5 years to give us something that should have been base. Shit, like somone, pour me a fuckin’ drink, cuz I can’t take this shit anymore without one in my hand.
We as players are now at an all-time low when we start crying over some motherfuckin’, what should have been, BASE GAME OBJECTS!!
I understand wanting to improve it, etc’, etc’, but that’s called patience and taking your time... instead they wanted to push out a half baked cake and tell you to eat it while you’re dribbling cake batter down your chin. (the release of “base game” s4)
I was both annoyed as fuck but happy! Seriously, wtf?! Has EA finally after 5 years of disappointing us got us to the point that we get elated over stairs? Really? Seriously?
Yes, I know the new customizable stairs are a free update, but that doesn’t make it any better. It should have been in the base game. YES NOW, IT BETTER BE FUCKIN’ FREE, but still... it should have already been apart of the game.
Now watch spiral staircases take another 3 years....smh.
