Hey so season 8 made sure to really establish the fact that Sam wants a life outside of hunting and that he firmly believes that this life is achievable. His entire motivation this season was to finish the Trials, slam the doors to Hell, and have a relatively normal life. And then, after he spent so many episodes fighting for his life and working so hard to stay alive, he just...gives up on the Trials at the last minute and accepts death? What am I missing here cause the whiplash is insane
