I love when Dean gets crazy controlling and gaslights the others (and Sam) all because he wants to ingest Sam so he’ll never be alone.

But I hate when the narrative and other fans excuse it as him always doing it outta love and not selfishness and severe codependency. Like I’m a Dean fan and I like him as he is…which is sometimes problematic and mentally sick dammit lol

LITERALLYYYYYY I mean I have my fair share of problems with the way dean treats Sam or other people but I do find it fascinating in the sense that it's a morbid unhealthy dynamic but it is very compelling. My problem is when people (or the narrative) tries to frame his actions as the correct ones?Who gives a shit about morals I want sam and dean to make each other worse. just don't frame it like dean is on the right side

In the new email from Creation about Burbank in March they added this:

Jared Padalecki has advised us that he is unable to make the Burbank convention, so we are thrilled to deliver this rare event on Sunday for your enjoyment. NOTE: Misha will also appear on Saturday as usual – yes, a double dose of Misha!

At least they are maybe finally starting to admit to what cons he won’t be attending?

Well, since that con is only 4 1/2 months away, it's about time. It also looks like they're trying to sweeten the heller pot by indicating Misha and Jensen will be appearing together. (As of now, only 46% of Gold seats have sold.)

What I find crazy is that they're still trying to sell these seats at the same price as New Jersey with J2M. I suppose if people are really excited to see Jensen and Misha, they'll pay, but anyone else who attends cons on the regular is going to recognize that they're being overcharged for the value provided and likely stay away. Creation's going to have to drop the price, otherwise they may be looking at a half-empty hall.

Also... good for Jared. This is right after AHBL in Australia and I believe there are some family birthdays in March for the Padalecki's. It makes very good sense to skip this one (especially if Walker is filming then as well.)

Too bad these idiots don’t realize they were watching Sam’s coming of age story, not Dean’s. Dean comes into the story more or less the same as he leaves it. He changes a little along the way, but not fundamentally.

Also, Dean is a killer. That’s not ALL he is, but he is one. And he’s fine with it. He’s happy with who he is back in Season 14. He does learn to accept that he can be loved because Sam never gave up on him, and unleashed darkness on the world for him.

Hellers and AAs got sucked into the idea that supernatural was some sort of “after school special” that was about Dean learning to love himself, and accept himself, which to them means accepting that he’s bi and in love with the Angel who saved him.

Sadly, this blinds them to the reality that Supernatural was a horror story, which also happened to be the epic love of two brothers, and it was Sam’s story. Dean was Sam’s guide through life in a way, and he served his purpose. Sam faced his past, learned to put the world and his family ahead of himself, then was finally given what he wanted to start with, a normal life. Sadly, he only gets it at a time when he probably would have chosen to stay with Dean over the normal life, but it brings his character full circle.

Supernatural was always a horror/tragedy, with some comedic and other elements thrown in. It was never intended to be Buffy meets Scooby Doo meets After-school Special.

Grow up, Anon. Dean would rather gnaw his own arm off than be a part of the basic bitch story you’re describing.

And, they would rather this Dean show be without Sam. They'd rather him be some love struck bitch who gives zero shits about saving people. Is he even doing that in their show? Or is he just walking around like a zombie, mouth drooling, staring at tits all day. Cause that's what they want. No wait. They want the tits to be wings. These people need to watch a different show.

Spot on reading of the show and Sam and Dean's roles within it, anon! Hellers and AAs who miss that (which, let's be real, are most of them) weren't watching the show for the story, they were watching so they could thirst over their favorite actor and then make up self-insert stories where the characters have absolutely no resemblance to the ones on screen. At that point, just change the names and call it an original work, they can still imagine their favorite actor playing their OC.

Jared's brand is still the smart, nice guy next door and he really does keep hitting those marks. There are some flaws to add seasoning, but enough effort to forgive them. (Prissy perfection is obviously fake PR and hella boring anyway.) He's honest, authentic, and likable. Lacking any sort of pretension when he deals with fans. Tumblr and Twitter are frustrating, but I keep bringing my focus back away from antis and just thanking our luck for what we've got. (*insert cute pic for me, please*)

I love Jared's authenticity, flaws and all! It's his willingness to be open and honest with fans that allows them to see him as a human being rather than an idol to be worshipped, and engenders greater respect between both him and the fans. We truly are lucky!
