Driving the North Coast 500 in Scotland. This was the best day.. previous days were pretty much just rain and driving on over populated A roads in dreadful weather. Many of the great places we found on the way were the ones ‘not in the guidebook’ - “Where does that road go?” turned out to be the best question to ask. Following the guidebooks will get you to all the different souvenir shops selling all the same souvenirs and craft shops galore.. Theres some beautiful crafts but we failed to see how sustainable these could be without - like the road - ‘funding by the European Union’.
