So, Alina ran away from taking the Grisha test to be with Mal, who would be unable to take it at the time and prevent their separation.

And years later, Alina released her dormant powers in an attempt to try to stay with Mal, which proves that she is Grisha....only to result in them being separated

I know the Darkling hasn’t been in the show for very long, but I’m already here for Darklina.

I like their opposing aesthetics.

Kaz: (offers up the Crow Club as collateral until he has enough money to pay Tante Heleen in full for Inej’s freedom)

The “Then, maybe you stay here!” line hits different when you take into consideration that Kaz is paying Helene (or whatever she’s called) for Inej’s freedom.

So, when he says that to her, he practically says that if push comes to shove, he has no problem going on a mission without her and is completely okay with leaving her behind.

He needs to apologize for that.

Kanej: (arguing because Kaz doesn’t have a plan to go across the fold and even if he finds one, Inej won’t be able to leave Ketterdam due to her needing Helene (I think that’s her name…) permission to leave first)

Kaz: I have six hours to crack this case and right now, you aren’t helping.

Inej: Maybe you do crack this and find a way across, but that doesn’t solve this problem, does it?!

Kaz: If I don’t crack this case, none of us are going anywhere.

Inej: And if you do?

Kaz: Then, maybe you stay here!

Inej: 😧

Inej: 😡 Well, maybe I won’t be here when you get back.

Me: It was that moment that he knew…he messed up.
