Just because a game plan/strategy doesn’t work the first time, does not mean it doesn’t work. Make some adjustments. In this clip from one of my fights at #SABJJF No Gi Open two weekends ago. I have a definite strategy of pulling guard -> single leg elevator sweep -> Ashi Garami -> chaos. It clearly failed hard the first time, but with each further attempt I made adjustments to my timing and angles to get get further along my sequence of attacks. Thankfully this resulted in winning gold. Full video on my YouTube page.
