The Free Speech Coalition is serious about starting an adult industry credit union. Part of this is being able to show regulators that enough people would use it, so please fill out this form if you're interested! (Yes, credit unions can issue credit cards!) www.freespeechcoalition.com/survey
Just gonna put it out there for folks who post fic/snippets to Tumblr:
You really really don't need to preface every post with something to the effect of "Um so idk what inspired this I spent a lot of time on tiktok and got a silly idea and anyway yeah this took me like 30mins it's only 1k words idk enjoy lol 😅😅😭🫣"
Like I get it, but at the same time your fic is now already hidden under a "read more". Now I'm not touching it. You can have a little confidence, even if you feel like it's fake or unwarranted. Post your tropes or warnings or whatever fine but these little self-deprecating prefaces do you no favours. You are not aspiring- if you do the work you are a Writer, claim that and post your nonsense proudly!
Okay mobile game ads are dumb and I know we're mixing our regions to the point of nonsense but...
I low-key dig the plague-ronin look? XD
Like this is just waiting to be someone's DnD character. This is absolutely a Monk of the Healing Hand or some kind of Rogue.
(Rookie mistake wearing your nice haori out to gather herbs though. Take that off, or at least tie those sleeves back, o-san!)
When I sit down to write in this space, I generally know what I want to say.
Irina Dumitrescu is a really insightful essayist that I used to follow back in the Twitter days and am still subscribed to her "newsletter". Anyway I thought this piece about culture as a narcissistic entity may appeal to some of the people in my circles.
[...] I want to ask: what kind of culture saves its greatest honours and rewards for narcissists? For people who are thugs, thieves, exploiters, and rapists, and still manage to consider themselves victims? And I also want to ask: what does it do to the people in that culture, what does it do to their souls? I do not have the answers to all of these questions, but I have some memories, and I have some instincts.
...
If creativity has this power, a power I think formal education and reading and therapy and time spent with good friends and philosophical inquiry and certain flavours of religious practice also have, then it’s also pretty dangerous. If narcissists and other abusers get their power by making their victims question their own humanity, then isn’t creativity dangerous to that project?
I see you, Minecraft.
Got a laugh out of me I won't lie.

I've seen some fun fandom content of Link and Zelda being T4T and swapping identities when they transition, especially in the aftermath of BotW. And it tickles me bc it's just so delightful. Not only are prince-and-pauper style stories so fun and in the few of these I've seen it's clear Link and Zel are also having fun with it, but it also comes with some interesting implications for Zelda Deep Lore that are fun to think about.
Like, how malleable are the fated roles of the Chosen Hero and Blessed Princess? Are they immutable from birth? Does fate respect the swap bc the role is tied to their place in society or personal resolve, not their blood or birth?
Does the Master Sword now only seem to respond to the 'new' Princess Zelda after the swap, or does it recognize a different master bc the 'new' Link is dedicated to his role of protecting his princess? Does nee-Link-now-Zelda begin to feel the stirring of powerful magic in her person, or does her knight suddenly appear to have magical prowess he had previously not shown? If it's a point in the timeline where the Triforce matters, would they swap pieces? Much to ponder.
