Hm, it seems to be a black minkpoint self (aka sablepoint)! However, I do agree with Jay. Either could work, but it's probably the former due to the color of the eyes and the more uniform patterning on the face and legs.

spent some time with mochi yesterday, he was his bright little self as always.

he was disappointed i didn't bring the boombox so i let him listen to his chappell roan cassette on my headphones. mochi doesn't bite wires for some reason, but i made sure to keep them away from him and watch him anyways. also the headphones aren't in his ears, just near them so he doesn't hurt his ears.

he was very content to curl up with me and listen to his favorite artist. when i pulled out the cassette he recognized it and was sniffing it very excitedly. he also got grumpy when i had to pause it.

of course november means i can easily get mochi's favorite fruit, cranberries. he likes them because they aren't sweet, and they have anti-inflammatory effects that help his arthritis.

mochi lived through trump's last term and he'll live through this one. there is a lot to be afraid of for the future, but it is important to take care of yourself and the people you care about. fight evil where you can so the next generation doesn't have to deal with this garbage.

Been a bit since I shared anything about Mochi. He's really become a little old man lately, now that he is 8 1/2. Little guy doesn't have much patience for photos anymore, he wants cuddles and little new treats like this fruit roll up.

He also seems to be not able to hop up and down as well anymore, so he moved to a one floor house. He's pretty happy with it because previously he was pretty much stuck on the top floor of his mansion, which wasn't big.

It's on stilts because he likes to be high up and interact with people at eye level, plus it gets good sun which he likes to nap in. Unlike last time he moved, he was really chill, almost glad to see the old house gone.

Also, just because he's old doesn't mean he's not getting up to shenanigans. While my sister did make sure he didn't get away with the onion ring, he did make off with a sweet potato fry. He still sprints around my parents' entire house when he's not napping, eating, or getting cuddles.

He's also really upset that Winnie has moved to wet food and no longer gets kibble, because that means he can't steal it anymore. No joke, he once stuck his head in the bowl and took a mouthful (one kibble) while winnie was eating. Little guy trusts his big sister completely.

Mo wanted to sit on Winnie's old pet bed, but Winnie is very possessive of things, and wanted to make it clear that it was HERS and he could not use it. Unfortunately for her, Mo doesn't property, and ended up getting to sit on it anyway.
