Holiday Fic Submission Drive!

It’s the time of year, ladies and gents (and everyone else!) The Holiday season is official upon us and we here at FYSF wanna know what your favorite holiday  Sabriel fic! There are tons of good ones out there, and we need help in compiling a holiday master list!

So you got a fic that makes you cry over Sam and Gabe at Christmas? Submit it! Have you written a fic about them celebrating Chanukah? Submit it! Just general Sabriel fun in the snow? SUBMIT IT! Arguing over the wishbone at New Years dinner? SUBM- I think you get the picture!

You can either submit directly to us, via our happy little submit button, or tag it with #fysfholidayrecs (Be sure to also tag any warnings and rating!)

Nightmare

Sabriel (Sam/Gabriel) oneshot requested by bluesuburbanskies16 on tumblr! She didn't give me a prompt, she just said that she wanted hurt/comfort and fluff. I hope that this doesn't disappoint!

Let me know what you think about it, please!

Sam stared speechlessly at Gabriel's dead body. Tears flowed down his face. This wasn't supposed to happen. Gabriel wasn't supposed to die.

The shadow of his spread wings was mesmerising. It hurt. Everything just hurt.

"Gabriel, get up, damnit!" Sam pleaded as he held Gabriel's head in his lap. "You have to wake up!"

Sam shook the still body. Fear tore at his heart and the tears blinded him. "I'll do anything! Just wake up!"

Hours seem to go by as Sam held Gabriel. Resting his head on Gabriel's he whispered. "I should have saved you. How could I let this happen?" The air felt heavy and suffocating. "I'm so sorry, Gabriel."

Sam closed his eyes and tried to breathe. He wanted Gabriel back, this wasn't fair. He deserved a little bit of happines. His shoulders shook with his sobs.

His crying stopped when he heard a voice calling him. Gabriel's voice. He looked down at the body that was in his arms. It still wasn't moving.

"Sam. Wake up." Gabriel's voice called.

Sam didn't understand. Wasn't Gabriel the one that wouldn't wake up?

Sam was jerked out of the nightmare by Gabriel shaking his shoulders roughly.

"Damnit, Sam. Are you ok?" Gabriel asked looking panicked.

Sam sniffled and realised that his face was covered in tears and his hands were holding on tightly to Gabriel's shirt. "Just a bad dream." He answered weakly, his heart still pounding from fear.

Gabriel pulled him close. "It's ok, Sam. I'm here now."
