Not quite sure how to describe it but I just can’t shake the feeling that it’s SOME kind of -phobic that Gabriel and Eileen never got to exist onscreen at the same time
Like obviously Gabriel was never really a “canon” love interest for Sam the same way Eileen was but
Gabriel was “dead” for eight years
Towards the end of those eight years they introduced—and then brutally murdered—Eileen
And then they revealed Gabriel was actually alive the whole time and finally set up an actual character development arc for him
. . . only to throw that out five minutes later by killing him for real
And THEN they brought Eileen back from the dead long enough to give her and Sam a proper romance arc
. . . just to kill her AGAIN and ultimately leave it ambiguous whether or not she was brought back with the rest of the world’s population or if she and Sam even ended up together after all

I’m thinking of calling my Eileen/Sam/Gabriel polytrio ship Sabrieleen
Okay since they just had to throw that Sabriel bait into the show, imagine Dean pining away in his closet for a fucking decade only for Sam to suddenly be like "so get this I'm a self-actualized out-and-proud bisexual and me and Eileen are gonna ask Gabriel if he wants to be a throuple."
