Aiden and Michelle
Well, I like how it looks.
How’d our little project turn out? I’ve been so busy with school and everything i haven’t been able to come by the studio to listen.
I feel like I could be sitting next to a dirty puddle and you’d have nothing but nice things to say, Michelle.
They just finished perfecting the audio today. I’ve been really busy with other things so it took some time. But it’s ready if you want to come in tomorrow and hear it.
Songbirds || Aiden and Michelle
michelle-primm
He’d offered to send a car for Michelle, but she’d politely declined. She was clearly a woman who liked simplicity and often worried that letting people do nice things for her meant that she was burdening them. Aiden didn’t like to view himself as a materialistic person, he wasn’t about showering people with gifts. What he liked to share was experiences. What was the point of having the resources he had if he didn’t share them with other people? If he wanted he could funnel all his money into a huge mansion with eighteen bedrooms and a tiger on a gold leash, but he’d rather have his small sanctuary and spend the money on making the people he cared about smile.
Which was why even though she’d ditched the car, Aiden had cheekily rolled a red carpet through the studio and all the way down to the entrance of the building. He got away with things like that, being one of the record label’s oldest clients. They were used to his need for cheeky humor and mischief. When Michelle was lead by suit-clad associates into the studio, Aiden was waiting, pleased grin on his face and a veritable buffet of food behind him. He knew she was going to think it was too much, which was why he started with a shrug. “I wanted you to feel like a very special guest.”
Stepping forward, he looped one arm through Michelle’s, sending the two men off. “Okay so...tour first...then food. Trade secret here, but everyone sings better on a full stomach.” He took her into the recording booth first, showing her the various instruments they kept on standby. “ A lot of people like to come in and play on their own personal instruments though...music is a very intimate thing for so many.” He pulled the microphone down from the ceiling. It was his favorite way to sing. Sure sometimes he liked a stand where he could croon and sway, but most of the time he liked having the microphone sway with him from the ceiling, to feel like he was chasing it while it chased his words. “Go on, give it a try. Sing a little something...anything...just a line.”

Are you excited for school?

Good Day Sunshine || Para || Michelle & Thane
It was nice to have a plan that would include being outdoors, and with good company. Since the last time that Thane was in LA, he hadn’t been able to enjoy a trip to the beach, and that was one of his favorite places to be in this city. It was usually so crowded with people having a great time, that more often than not people mostly didn’t bother even talking to him. Granted, he also made sure that he stayed busy doing things like swimming, or surfing when he was alone to minimize talking opportunities. This time, however, he would be with someone else and talking would be more than acceptable.
Thane had made sure that he had sent michelle-primm exact instructions on how to get to this particular ice cream stand near the beach. This was, in fact, Thane’s favorite ice cream stand as in his opinion it had the best mint chocolate chip, and Oreo ice cream he’d ever had. Once he arrived, he set the bag he had packed with things down at his feet, and waited for Michelle to arrive. He was the type of person who liked to get places early because he didn’t like for the people he was meeting to have to wait on him. Plus, he learned quickly while acting that arriving somewhere early would allow you time to relax, or prepare, or just generally do anything that you wanted prior to having to do anything else. This time it allowed Thane to just watch people all around, as well as take in the general beauty of the beach.
It didn’t seem like much time had passed before he scanned the people around, and found a figure walking toward him. A shy smile formed on Thane’s face as his companion for the day closed the distance between them. His hand lifted in a small wave, and then reached down for the bag at his feet. “Thanks for coming out.” He commented as Michelle stopped in front of him. “I think we’re doing good so far, you and I. Neither of us has melted, and I’m taking this as a positive thing. However, I was thinking that perhaps I could buy us both ice cream so that maybe it’ll help us adjust to this extreme temperature, what do you say?”
Rows Of Houses Sound Asleep || Michelle & Lachlan
Teaching was in Lachlan’s blood, quite literally. He’d learned how to be a great teacher from his parents, along with his passion for music. He’d met the most amazing people and seen the most amazing places teaching opera, being a coach, and then a teacher. It really shaped him into who he was but he never lost the vision of being a professional musician and composer. With that opportunity within his reach he’d left teaching behind and began to pursue his new dream with Adele’s hand in his. Luckily, his friends periodically needed a coach and he’d fill up a little free time for some lessons for them. Michelle would be no different.
Though Michelle was someone that Lachlan had just met on the site, she seemed nice. Lachlan had already had an easiness in making friends and being with Adele he learned how to value making friends family. It wasn’t particularly easy juggling two little ones and guitar lessons but Adele understood that it was important to him and with a couple of meetings a week it would amount to no more than three hours a week. Lachlan really did appreciate that Michelle had wanted morning lessons too, it let him pick up after the girls when they went to bed an get the lesson in before they could really make another big mess. Most of the time they all hung out in his music room. The little girls shaking maracas or banging on the drum of a tambourine.
When he opened the door for Michelle to enter their large house his neighbor’s cars still sat in their driveways and the girls had yet to make a peep. He gave her his naturally illuminating big smile as he said good morning and set her guitar down at the door to his music room. Then, leading to the kitchen her made them a drink and pushed a plate of hot pancakes toward her. After a small laugh about the importance of fueling your music he popped the dirty dishes in the sink and they moved to the music room with glasses of water. The baby monitor sat atop his Steinway, the little sound light on just one, a static hum from the humidifier and fan.
They spent the next hour going over tuning, frets and bars, how to read sheet music, and basic chords. He’d catch himself bouncing in his seat as she caught on quickly. With his counting and playing of the chords on the piano they played through a couple of tunes with few corrections. Sifting through the long bench across the far wall that looked like a window seat but opened up into a very organized filing system, Lachlan pulled out a beginners guitar book filled with instructions, his own notes in the margins, and sheet music. With an friendly pat on her back he gave her homework and sent her on her way, right to the queue of a cry from his littlest, Ellie. Needless to say, there was definitely a bounce in his step as he hopped up to the little ones room and told her about how excited he was to one day teach her how to play new instruments.
